Introduction

Welcome!
This catalog includes PLP's Line Hardware for the Canadian market.
Most entries are based on the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group)
C83-17 "Communication and power line hardware".
• Charpy rated parts per CSA C83
o Charpy Level 1: Minimum energy absorption of 20 Joules at -20°C
o Charpy Level 1.5: Minimum energy absorption of 27 Joules at -30°C
o Charpy Level 2: Minimum 50% shear fracture at -45°C
•G
 alvanized parts are hot dip galvanized per CSA G164 (latest issue).
Dimensions are given as final after galvanizing.
• Reference CSA C83 annex F for strength rating definitions.

PLP can design custom yoke plates of various shapes, sizes, strengths,
thicknesses and hole spacings. We can also work with hardware string set
designs and provide an arrangement using PLP hardware.

PLP has significant engineering and testing capabilities in Canada and

the USA. If you don't see the product you are looking for, please consider

Ball Y-Clevis

Bolted Neutral Wire Bracket with Clamp
The bolted neutral wire bracket (with clamp) is advantageous over the tie top neutral wire bracket because it does not

Aluminum Suspension Clamp
The Aluminum Suspension (ALS) Clamp is intended for use on all aluminum-based conductors. PLP recommends placing
Armor Rods over the conductor at suspension points to minimize the static and dynamic stresses at the ends of the clamp
as well as extend the life of the conductor. The standard ALS Clamps are designed for continuous conductor operating
temperatures up to 125°C (150°C for two-hour emergencies).

Guy Hook
