BRAZILIAN CORNMEAL CAKE WITH CHEESE AND CHOCOLATE GLAZE


INGREDIENTS:

– Cornmeal (1 and 1/2 cups);


– Sugar (1 cup);
– Oil (1/2 cup);
– 3 eggs;
– Grated cheese (1 cup);
– Milk (1 and 1/2 cups);
– Baking powder (1 teaspoon).

INSTRUCTIONS:

– Let the cornmeal soak in the milk for a while;


– Blend all the other ingredients (except the baking powder) in a blender for 5 minutes.
Then add the cornmeal with the milk and blend for a few more minutes. Finally, add the
baking powder and mix briefly;
– Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in a medium oven for 35 to 40
minutes.

CHOCOLATE GLAZE INGREDIENTS:

– Milk (1 and 1/2 cups);


– Margarine (1 tablespoon);
– Chocolate powder (3 tablespoons);
– Cornstarch (1 tablespoon).

INSTRUCTIONS:

– Place the topping ingredients in a saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring until
thickened;
– Remove from heat and pour over the cake;
– It tastes delicious warm or cold.
