Experienced Hydrology and Water Resources Engineer with over 20 years of experience in Hydrology, Hydraulics, Irrigation
Engineering, Hydropower, and Climate Change Impact Modeling. Currently serving as a Senior Hydrologist
and Project Coordinator at NETWAS Consulting since March 1, 2025, I lead the design and execution of the
Morogoro Irrigation Project, covering 32 schemes and 46,000 hectares. From September 2023 to February
2025, I successfully managed the design and implementation of four dam and irrigation projects. My
extensive career spans national and international contexts, collaborating with multidisciplinary and multicultural
teams. I have contributed to 8 water supply and 18 irrigation projects, overseeing feasibility studies,
engineering design, construction supervision, and consultancy services. I have also played a pivotal role in
shaping the profession nationally through the development of Occupational Standards and the Body of
Knowledge (BOK) for Ethiopian Hydraulic Engineering Professionals. As a registered professional engineer and former
assistant professor, I bring both technical expertise and academic insight to the planning and delivery of sustainable water
resource solutions.
