Google announced, “To help keep your account secure, starting May 30, 2022, Google will no longer support
the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your
username and password.”
As above, send/receive mail function (*1) using Email and i-FAX cannot be used on the personal Google
account on and after May 30, 2022
It is also announced this policy change does not apply to the corporate account of Google Workspace for the
time being.
Google Workspace corporate account can continue use of Gmail as Email/i-FAX. Refer to [Workaround] below
for use. OAuth authentication support for Gmail is undecided for use as Email/i-FAX.

[Workaround]
Generate the application password for mail application in the Google management screen and set it on the
setting screen of SMTP/IMAP/POP3.
1. Log in the Google account page.
2. Turn on 2-Step Verification.
3. Generate Application password.
4. Select [Mail] for Application and [Other (input name)] for Device.
5. Set user name (mail address) and application password on the Google account in the MFP/Printer
product and solution product.
