Script:
Introduccion
• Luci: Hi everyone! I´m Luci and you know that I love so much all things
relationated with the “Cinema world”.

Last weekend I had a movie night when I noticed that there is a big difference
between the new and old movies, so I decided to invite two of my Friends to have
an interview and they are going to talk about it.

……….

• Luci: Hello girls!! How are you?

• Vale y Alma: Hello, we are fine!!

• Luci: Ok! We are going to start with the interview…

What do you think about the new and old movies? What is the difference
both?

• Alma: I think that one of the most important differences is the quality,
because to film the firsts movies, the camera didn´t have the best
technology and the most of videos were in black and White. But the color
started to be implemented with the pass of the time using different
techniques.

• Vale: However actually, all of movies are in color and they are filmed with
different resolutions like HD and formats like 4K which do the video with
more brightness, quality and color. This generates several sensations in the
spectators.

• Luci: Yes!! I’m with you on that because it’s so important to enjoy the movie
more and to get more spectators. The new movies use special effects to do
it more interesting and to generate emotions in the public. What techniques
were used in the past to create special effects in movies? And in the cinema
of now?
• Alma: Before the digital age, special effects in cinema created through
physical techniques. Models used to represent spaceships, buildings, or any
object that should appear distant on the screen, matte painting, stop motion
which individually filmed an object or character that moves between each
shot and creative sound effects that created visual illusions like the sound of
the hammer hitted cables for the effect of Star Wars lasers.

• Vale: Now the cinema has two types of special effects. The practical effects
create physical illusions in the set with makeup, animatronics like the
dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, miniatures, pyrotechnics. And the Digital effects
that create computer-generated images, motion capture technology, green
screens and more things. This makes the effects that practical effects can't
do. A good example where we can see how the cinema uses these effects is
Avatar or Avengers: endgame

• Luci: There is a big difference between the new and old movies. Using these,
cinema can create new places, persons and different realities about the
world. Personally, I think that the new movies spend a lot more time to film
because of their complexity. Another point is the clothing, what changes
have there been in the way actors are dressed over time?

• Alma: In the old cinema, the clothing used to reflect the fashion of the time,
both in the publics and the characters. For example, in the 20s years, the
short dresses became popular, also the suit tight with flappers how
fashion´s iconic. In general, the clothing of the period cinema was a tool to
tell the history and communicate about the characters and the time in which
it takes place. It was difficult find clothes adapted with the movie.

• Vale: In the actually, is easier find clothes than the old cinema, because they
use special effects when don´t find clothes to film. Although use mostly in
the general movies, clothes real, but in the sci-fi movies they need special
effects to the superpowers, or special scenes. For example, in the marvel´s
movies to the suit of the superhero, they don´t use the vestment real
because it was difficult create a suit with superpowers and they used special
effects for make costumes.

• Luci: Ok, all things considered, the impact of technology has completely
transformed the way movies are made, allowing filmmakers to tell stories in
much more complex and visually impactful ways.
