Goose and loon

There are all kinds of birds. The goose is one kind, the loon is another. These birds
don't roost in trees. They like lakes. The goose has thick feathers, they are waterproof
and keep the goose warm. A goose flies south when the weather gets too cold. It flies
back North when the weather turns mild. A loon cannot walk on land. It makes a
nest close to the shore so it can slide into the water. It catches fish for food. A loon
on a lake. You might hear a loon giggle by the light of the moon.

The Loose Tooth

Moose was in a bad mood. He had a loose tooth. He sat in his room, hooting in pain.
He was sitting in her roost in the chicken coop. Who's hooting? She cried Moose.
'Not the dentist! "Sit on this stool, said doctor Raccoon as he started to choose the
right tool. This won't hurt a bit, Moose. I'll have that tooth fixed soon. It didn't hurt!
Moose felt great! He was gobbling down food by noon.

Jake the Queen

Jake the snail went to get his mail. On the way to his mailbox, he ran into Mr. Quail.
Then Quail asked Jake to drive him to the train because it had started to rain. Jake
tooth Mr. Quail to the train in his plain sailboat. If Jake the snail had a brain, he
would have remembered his mail.

Blue Newt

A blue Newt named Lewis liked to chew on dewily leaves. There were few that he
would spew. His true favourites were the leaves that grew in a hue of lime green. He
was due for a fresh brew of them. He threw some in a pot to make new stew.

Green grass

The queen keep feeding wild deer. How will the dear ever learn to feed alone? The
deer must peel the seed to feed. The deer need to flee to grasp green grass. Then they
will have lots to feed on. I hope the deer do not meet a bee in the green grass. Deer
cannot be stung by a bee or they will run into a tree.

Neal the Seal

Neal is a cute little white seal. He used to live on an icy, cold beach but now he lives
his dream at the zoo. His friend Teak made him a deal. He will get a yummy fish
meal, says "Speak" and Neal, let's out a happy squeal. They make a good team.

A bell rang.

Ben got out of bed

He had red hens

The Queen and the Bee

Lee the queen was on a walk. Her feet were very tired so she went to lay by the tree.
She woke up to buzz! Buzz!

She could see a bee flying above the tree.

The queen did not like bees.

She jumped to her feet, she started to run.

The queen was going fast.

But the Bee was going faster, would the queen ever be free from the bee?

Fay and Jane like to play at the lake. One day, they made a maze in the hay.

On the same day, they had rain and hail, so Fay and Jane ran back to play games.

Can Fay stay and play games? Jane asked dad.

"Fay can stay and play if her mom and dad say it is okay", said Jane's dad.

Fay and Jane stayed up late and played games.

Chase loves to play

Chase had bike that was gray.

He rode it down to the bay.

He saw a boat with a sail.

He watched a man deliver mail.

In winter, he had a sled like a sleigh.

He slid by a horse that said, "Neigh"

He wanted to sled all day.

He really loved to play.

The Loud Cow

Farmer Brown had a cow.

His sow was very loud,

Troy's noisy Toilet Toy

Troy is a boy who enjoys playing with his toy toilet. His toilet has a noisy flush and
it is tons of fun. However, Troy's toy toilet really annoys his mom. Mom doesn't
enjoy the noisy sound of the flush. Mom wishes that Troy would avoid the toilet and
find a new toy. Maybe Troy would enjoy playing with a silver coin or maybe he
would like a toy boat that could take a voyage. "Don't spoil my fun, says Troy, I only
like my noisy toilet.

It is a nice fall day. I call my friend Yay and say, "Do you want to have a play day
today?" We play in the hay. We play with clay. We bake cookies on my new tray!
We run and have a relay race. We may sway on the swing or lay to watch the rays.
We go to the store by the bay and pay for some candy. We run to the bay and play
the rest of the day.

By the Stream

On the weekend, Pete went for a jog by the Stream. It was sunny. There was a cool
breeze. Pete could see bees in the peach trees. There were three sheep feeding on the
green grass.

Pete wet his feet in the creek. It was deep. The water was clean, but Pete could see
some weeds. He reached for them. He would make the creek neat.

Mr. Doyal's dog

Mr. Doyal was employed at a local dog shelter. He always loved animals and was
finally ready to adopt one for his own. When choosing a dog. Mr. Doyal had one
request. His number one choice would be a dog that was loyal. He wanted to avoid
dogs that would bark all the time or dogs that would do nothing but soil the house
and destroy it. He decided he would not spoil the dog, but give it proper attention
and love. On the day of his appointment. He entered the shelter with joy.

My Favorite Toy

Oh boy! Mom came home with a new toy! It was big red and went boing! I was
filled with joy. I sat on top and bounced (oy-oy-oy-oy-oy). I called my best friend
and asked him to join! Then, we bounced together (oy-oy-oy-oy-oy)! What a great
day.

Dee

Dee and Zee are having a picnic. Dee and Zee has tea and peas with cream for the
picnic. Together, they eat the peas with cream and drink their tea. Dee sees a bee.
Dee screams and runs away. Dee hides behind a tree, Zee sees the bee too. Zee does
scream or run away. Zee pretends to be asleep. The bee leaves See alone. The bee
stings Dee."Aaaargh!!!"

Dee screams only to see it is all but a dream.

"Let's shop", says mom, she grabs a mask off the shelf.

They hop on the ship and the ship stops.

Splash! Josh hops off. Josh sees a lot of fish! He pets the fins. Josh got his wish! He
swam with the fish.

The Blue, Blueberry Mess

Luke and Duke were friends, they were rude and didn't follow rules. In fact, the boys
never knew or even had a clue as to when their homework was due. All they knew
how to do was to chew on lots of blue, blueberry bubble gum.

One June day, Duke and Luke were filling in summer school. They decided to have
a blue, blueberry bubble contest. Instead of one piece of bubble gum, they put a few
piece in their mouth. The blue bubble got bigger and bigger until Pop! The blue
blueberry bubble was everywhere.

To June

I am on a visit to see my gran and her new dog. The dog is called Duke. He is fluffy
and cute. My gran gave me a prune cake. I do not like prunes but I did not want to
seem rude. Gran also gave me a lesson on her flute. I cannot play a tune yet but it
was a lot of fun.

There once was a boy named Blue.

He lived in a shoe.

He blew bubbles with his chewing gum and wore new shoes each day.

He only had a few friends.

Blue had a pet dog named Drew.

Drew and Blue liked to eat stew.

They also flew kites that they made with glue.

Cute Mule

Once there was a cute mule

Her name was June.

She had a huge cart, full of rulers.

Cubes and tubes to pull.

June could use some help.

"Hey, Dude, I'm not rude so yes I will", said Luke the mule.

They walk up a dune and sing a tune together.

This is amusing but a flute would make this tune better.

Once upon a time, there was an awful Ostrich. His name was Paul. Paul was bald.
He felt sad about being bald because the other ostriches made fun of him. One day
in August, Paul met a Walrus. His name was John. Paul and John became best
friends. This made Paul happy and glad. They liked to draw and talk together.

Jenny at the Beach

Jenny and Lee meet at the beach on sunny days. At the beach, jenny likes to read
and sleep under the tall green trees. One day, it was so sunny and so hot, Jenny said
"I need a treat to keep me cool", Lee agreed. "I will see what treats they sell cheap,
because I only have three coins". Lee came back with two ice creams. Jenny said.
"Now, I feel so happy", they had their ice cream at the beach.

One awesome Hawk

Come to the park in August where you can meet Austin in an awesome red failed
hawk. He can fly. Flap his wings and likes to talk. (Aw-aw-aw-aw)! Austin loves to
show all to his daily audience. He dives elegantly from his tree to the lawn (aw-aw-
aw-aw). The audience gives Austin a big applause! Austin, thanks. The audience
loudly (aw-aw-aw-aw). Austin sees a show on the lawn.

Chocolate Pie

Mike likes pies. He makes one every night in July.

His favourite one is fried chocolate pie.

He is too shy to give his pies to his friends, but he would fight and cry for his pies.
Mike must really like pie.

Reed's Beets

Reef had a big field. He planted some beans and lots of beets. His beet began as seed.
He had to shield his beet from geese that tried to eat them! Each beet was red and
very special. One day, a thief tried to steal his beets! Reed ran with his feet to catch
the thief. The bad thief ran all the beach and nobody saw him again.

The moon

The moon was bright in the night sky.

The boy went to the kitchen to try and eat a pie. He tried to eat it without making a
noise. His mum put on the light and cried, "What is this I have spied?" It was a dog!"
He lied.

The Mail

Mr. Snail wants his mail. The mail is in the box, on the way to trail. He walks on the
trail. But it begins to rain. His legs begin to pain, again and again. He decided to wait
and get on to a train.

Faith and Zain

Faith is from Spain. She wears a special chain around her neck. She always wean a
braid in her hair. Faith has a dog named Zain. Zain wags his tail all day. Yesterday,
Zain's tail hit the pail and knocked the water all over the floor. Today, Faith was
painting a sailboat Zain's tail hit the paint. Now, paint is all over the wall.

Daisy the snail

There was once a girl snail named Daisy. She liked to sail and play. Daisy also liked
wearing an apron when she baked. Her friends, May, liked to paint Daisy's nails
gray. One day, they took a train and went down to the bay. It started to rain, but they
still stayed. They had so much fun together in the rain.

Fay the Stingray

Fay was a blue and gray stingray. She lived in the bay near Main Street. Fay was sad
every day and night. She missed her sister May. May lived far away in Spain and
could only visit by train. One rainy Monday, Fay got a letter in her mailbox. It was
from her sister May! May said she just got paid and would like to pay Fay a visit on
the next holiday. Fay could not wait until Christmas.

The New Baby

The May's family got a maid to take care of their new baby, Barley. The maid seemed
a bit plain, but they had faith in her. She loved to sway the dainty baby before back
and forth. She even liked to stay and pray with the baby before bed. One day the
baby seemed to be in pain. She cried and cried. The nurse was very afraid. She tried
to play with Barley but it didn't help. The nurse laid Barley in the play pen and she
fell asleep Hooray! The baby was not in pain after all.

Proud Mouse

I am so proud of my house! Said the little mouse. Inside I have a couch and a round
table. I have a TV with great sound. Outside of my house, I have a garden. My garden
is ready to sprout! " I am so proud of little house"', shouted the mouse.

The Brown cow and the Mouse

The brown cow was old and round.

His only friend was a mouse who live in the big house. The brown cow could not
mind eating green grass from the ground, that's how he got round.

One day the mouse let out a loud sound from the big house. Now, how could such
small mouse make such a big shout? The brown cow ran in the big house and found
a cat on the prowl

The Brown Owl

I found a brown owl. It is outside my house in a big tree. The brown owl is a long
way from the ground. There is a crowd at our house. They have come from town.
They found out about the brown owl. They want to hear it make sounds. The brown
owl does not growl or howl. But it can be loud! It makes a hooting sound.

Fred

A happy goat called Fred had a friend called Sam. Sam was a grumpy snail. Fred
and Sam liked fun and had lots of trips. They took a bus along the main road to the
woods. They took the train to the coast for a swim. But they have never sailed in a
boat across the sea.

One day, they packed some toast and jam, put on their coats and went to the sea. It
was a rainy day but they stuck to their goal and found a red boat with a big sail." I
hope this boat can float" said Fred. "Me too" said Sam.

It did, soon they were sailing on the sea.

Building a boat

My dad says once the rain stops, we are going to build a boat. Yesterday in the mail,
we got the sail, the pail and the chain. But we still need some rope. We are going to
name the boat. The fox tail and paint an actual tail on the back of it! My dad says I
will need to put my hair a braid so it does not get in the way, and he warned me that
we will use a hammer and nail. It will be hard work!

Spice Cake

What is this? Spice Cake?

I can make a nice spice cake too

I'll add a shake of this and a little pinch of that.

Next, I'll add a plate of diced nuts and nine chopped dates.

Then I'll mix in a slice or two of a nice ripe apple. Stir it a while and then bake it and
cut a slice for me.

The light fight

Mark and Clark started out on a long drive. They wanted to see all the sights. The
first day was fun. Then they had to stop for the night "good night" said Clark as he
turned light off. "Sleep tight" said Mark as he turned his light on. Can't sleep in the
dark mumbled mark. “The dark gives me a fright. I might have bad dreams!

"Oh, said Clark with a sigh.

You're right. Leave it on, Mark. I'm much too sleepy to fight! In the morning, Clark
went right to the store. He got Mark a night light.

Wild, wild things

A child named Di likes wild, wild things. Di isn't happy when the day is mild. She
thinks wild day are quite boring. Di flies off to find a place where it is storming. Di
looks for rain, ice and blinding snow!

That's the kind of wild, wild day that. Di likes when it comes to pets, Di thinks dogs
and cats are OK. She doesn't mind turtles, fish and mice. She still thinks they're all
a bit too tame. Di would rather have wild, wild pets. She has found the wildest pets
that she could find.

Cub's Long Day

This Cub has a big feet and a little tail. His home is a cave deep in the forest.

Each day the cub gets up to run and play. Then he rests. When he wakes up, he is
hungry!

He waits at the stream to catch fish. He eats treats that strain his face red. Each
evening, the cub finds his way back home on the trail.

Have a Picnic

In a spring, if it's sunny, a picnic is the best bet to have fun. Pick a spot on a grass
and fling a big blanket to sit on. Fill a basket with napkins and plastics cups. A picnic
basket often has flaps on it, to stop insects from jumping in. A picnic next to a pond
can be splendid. You can toss scraps to the ducks and go for a swim.

My Favourite Hobby

I like reading so much. It's my favourite hobby. There is no better companion than a
good book. I depend on reading to develop my language skills and vocabulary.

Reading is a good way to relax and reduce stress. I usually go to the public library
in my town. My friend Jimmy always comes with me. I like reading about nature
and sports.
