Terminal Objectives:
In summary, conducting INSET for managing school-based professional development programs on the MATATAG
curriculum is crucial for addressing systemic educational challenges, enhancing teacher competence, promoting
collaboration, supporting professional growth, and facilitating effective curriculum implementation. These efforts
collectively aim to improve the quality of education in the Philippines, preparing students for future challenges in a
rapidly changing world.
Enabling Objectives:
At the end of this session, PARTICIPANTS should be able to:
1. improve teachers' understanding of the MATATAG curriculum's framework, including its pedagogical
approaches and assessment strategies. By enhancing teachers' competencies, the program seeks to foster a
more effective learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
2. equip teachers with practical skills for designing lesson plans and assessments that align with the MATATAG
curriculum's objectives. This ensures that instructional methods are not only relevant but also responsive to
the diverse needs of students.
3. implement a developmentally sequenced lesson using guided instruction and learner-centered pedagogy, and
4. refine one’s teaching practice through insights-sharing and collegial discussion.
