A5 Scenes- Description of 3 scenes (from each films) which have created a lasting
impression on your mind
1st film
Dev.D
Scene 1-
Dev’s reckless behaviour -Dev, portrayed by Abhay Deol, after facing heartbreak, turns to
alcohol and drugs as a way to cope with his pain. This scene is important as it shows how
someone can fall into self-destructive behavior after losing love.
Scene 2
Paro’s love and affection for dev-In the movie “Dev.D,” there’s a poignant scene where Paro,
portrayed by Mahie Gill, visits Dev’s room. Dev, played by Abhay Deol, is going through a
rough patch, drowning his sorrows in alcohol and drugs due to his heartbreak and personal
struggles. Paro, despite their past conflicts and misunderstandings, enters his room and finds
him in a vulnerable state.
She observes his distress and decides to care for him. Paro shows genuine concern and
tenderness by trying to comfort him. She might clean up the mess, soothe him, or just be
there silently, offering her support without any judgment. This moment is touching because
it reveals Paro’s deep emotional connection with Dev. Despite their differences and their
troubled history, she demonstrates compassion and empathy toward him in his time of
need, displaying a sense of unconditional care and understanding. This scene hints at the
complexity of their relationship, highlighting Paro’s underlying affection and concern for
Dev’s well-being.This is also my favourite scene from the movie and it is picturized very
beautifully.
Scene 3
Chanda’s Transformation: In the movie, Chanda, initially portrayed as innocent and
immature, goes through tough experiences. The scene where she transforms into a more
confident woman stands out. It’s powerful because it shows her growth from being
uncertain and vulnerable to becoming stronger and more confident after facing difficulties in
her life.
2nd Film

and alone in a big city. It’s striking because it shows her solitude and struggles to find
connections in an unfamiliar place, evoking a strong sense of loneliness and vulnerability.

about her family’s history. This scene stands out as it reveals unexpected and distressing
information about Ruth’s past, creating a significant impact on her character and the
audience’s perception of her journey.

Year old boy). This is the most thrilling scene of the movie for me as it creates a suspense in
the film and this scene keeps the audience engaged with the film.
Scene 2- When alisha (tapsee pannu) wakes up at a strange house. She had no idea where
she was. When she goes to the hospital everyone starts calling her a doctor even though she
is a nurse. She finds all this very strange and it becomes irritating for her to deal with this
type of situation. This scene is another suspense creating moment as the stroy goes forward
and and I was wondering what would happen next.
