Japa of 125000 over 30 days - means every day 40 rounds (4320). This means
every day yajna offering 4 rounds (432 times), libation 45 times, coronation of
5 times.

Daily checklist
1. 2 Brass lamps, wick, ghee. 5 small water pots, 4 spoons, 3 small saucers
(silver/copper/brass). Wash all pots and lamp everyday.
2. 2 bowls for keeping havan samagri & ghee for havan.
3. Gandham. Dhoopam. Flowers. Sweets. 30 dry coconuts.
4. Sweetmeat, jaggery or honey (Madhuparka offering - Shodashopchara)
5. Yajna – Hawan kund, Chaaru = 1 packet havan samagri (1kg), 75 gms
white sesame seeds, 75 gms black sesame seeds, 75gms rice each, 50
gms paddy (if available) & 50 gms dry fruits without shells. Firewood
(peepal,mango, palasha/dhak, deodar,sagaun).
6. Match box. Napkin. Tissue papers. Scissors. Cash, envelope.
7. Chanting beads (rudraksh/ sandalwood).
8. A lot of faith, devotion, discipline
Purushcharana
• How long - 1,25,000 Japa in 15 or 30 days (40 rounds of Japa for 30 days)
(1,25,000/30 = 4167=4200. 4200/108 = approx. 40)
• When – Fourth night of the waxing or waning moon (either in wee hours
of morning or at night)
• Diet – Vegetarian. Without onion & garlic. Dairy allowed. Avoid biscuits,
cakes, cheeses which might have animal derived ingredients.
• Lamp – Brass lamp only. Cotton wick. Pure ghee only.
• Direction – Facing east or north
• Clothing – 2 pieces of loose yellow-coloured clothes
• Seat – A blanket covered with a yellow cloth. Meditation cushion or any
cotton seat allowed. Need to sit on the floor with a STILL posture.

Before You Begin
2 days prior, consecration of beads. A day before, after sunset, take a bath, sit
at your altar. Call upon Mother Divine in the form of Maa Gayatri with some
