Lesson Proper
A. Activating Prior Say: Hello!
Knowledge How are you today? I would be calling students who would raise their hands.

When you receive something, what will you say?


When you want to borrow a pencil from your classmate, what will you say?
When you pass between two persons talking, what will you say?
When you want to leave the room what will you say? 1 2 3 Action!
Direction: Pick a situation and act it out in front of the class and let your
classmate tell what polite expression you said. It would be in pairs.

B. Lesson Say: In today’s lesson, we will be learning a chant; we will also be learning the
Purpose/ letters (l, h, u, b, c).
Intention Kindly pay attention to the bold letters in the chant. Take note of the words in
the chant that have similar ending sounds. These words are called rhyming
words.
Read the words posted on the board.

Do these words end with the same sound?
Very good! Words with the same end sounds are called rhyming words.
C. Lesson Do: Show flashcards of L, U, C, H, B (uppercase and lowercase).
Language Ask: "What letter is this?"
Practice Do: Have learners repeat the letter name aloud and make the letter sounds.
Do: Prepare a bag with objects or pictures of items starting with L, U, C, H, B
(e.g., Lemon, Umbrella, Cat, Hat, Ball). Let students take turns picking an
object and naming its beginning letter. Example: "I found a hat! It starts with H!
Say: Now, we know the names and sounds of letters L, U, C, B and H. This time,
we will learn new words from the chant that you will listen to later on.
hooray – Show a picture of a person doing the “hooray” action.
Ask: What is in the picture? (a person raising his two hands)
What is he/she feeling? (happy/excited)
Say: “When a person is happy, he is doing an ____ action.

twirl – Show how you twirl your hair.
Ask: What am I doing with me hair? (twirl)
Twirl refers to the action of circling, twisting, or winding the hair in your finger.
Say: When you twist your hair with your finger, it is called ____.

vibe – Show the learners how you feel today.
Ask: Describe my action. What does it say? (Feeling cold/ feeling warm) Do you
feel the cold wind on your face and skin? (yes/no) What about the
warmth of the sun? (yes/no)
The cold wind or the warmth of the sun contributes to the vibe that you feel
today.
Say: Vibe refers to the emotional quality or atmosphere that you feel.
Confident
Say: What will you feel when the teacher gives a test, and you have reviewed
your lessons? (self-assured, confident, positive, sure)
