The project compares the caffeine content in various coffee samples, including Coca Cola, Red Bull, black tea, green tea, and decaffeinated coffee. It concludes that coffee has the highest caffeine content, while green tea is considered the healthiest option among the tested beverages. The project was conducted by R. Vigneshkumar under the guidance of Mr. Vijayaraj J as part of the chemistry practical examination for the academic year 2025-2026.

INTRODUCTION:

Coffee is a beverage prepared from roasted coffee beans. Darkly colored, bitter,
and slightly acidic, coffee has a stimulating effect on humans, primarily due to its
caffeine content. The Seeds of the Coffee plant's fruits are separated to produce
unroasted green coffee beans. The beans are roasted and then ground into fine
particles that are typically steeped in hot water before being filtered out, producing
a cup of coffee. It is usually served hot, although chilled or iced coffee is common.

Aim:

To compare the caffeine content in different coffee samples:

➡Coca cola

➡coffee(sunrise)

➡red bull

➡black tea

➡green tea

➡decaffeinated coffee

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

 A beaker
 A 500ml of water(100 for each)
 A vessel
 The coffee sample🤍
 cotton cloth(indicator)
PROCEDURE:
Organic and inorganic tests are done to find the caffeine content in coffee
samples. To compare the caffeine content we usually use lead acetate and
chloroform. But now we are finding with simple methods.

TEST RESULT:

All samples studied showed that they do contain caffeine. As we increase the
amount of caffeine it becomes less healthier. As we compare all the white clothes
we get coffee has more caffeine in it than every other samples .

CONCLUSION:

As we compare the test results we can conclude that green tea is healthier than the
other drinks and drinking coffee can be dangerous to health.
