COROD® Injectors
Weatherford COROD injectors are gripping units designed to work safely
and efficiently with service rigs and flushby units to perform rod fishing, plug
retrieval, and continuous rod service work. The compact COROD injectors
can be truck-mounted for easy transportation to and from wellsites.
Both standard and heavy-duty COROD injectors are capable of servicing
various applications, including shallow to high-depth oil, gas, and coalbed
methane (coal seam gas) wells. The standard COROD injector is suited to
work in both vertical and slant well configurations. It is capable of tripping
rod at a rate of up to 100 ft (30 m) per minute with a maximum dynamic load
rating of 15,000 lb (6,804 kg). The heavy-duty COROD injector is suited to
work in vertical well configurations. It is capable of tripping rod at a rate of
90 ft (27.4 m) per minute with a maximum dynamic load rating of 35,000 lb
(15,876 kg). Both types of injectors are fitted with special alloy pads that
protect the rod by creating a smooth contact surface when the rod string is
gripped, which preserves the surface and integrity of the rod.
