The Life History of Benyus Gashaw
Introduction
My name is Benyus Gashaw, and I am an 11-year-old student at Bahir Dar Academy. I am
passionate about coding, football, and learning new things. I have a strong desire to become
a software engineer in the future, and I am always eager to expand my knowledge. My
journey so far has been filled with learning, challenges, and great support from my family.
Early Life
I was born and raised in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, a beautiful city known for its rich culture and
history. From an early age, I was a curious and energetic child, always asking questions and
trying to understand the world around me. My parents encouraged me to focus on
education and personal growth.
Family Background
I come from a wonderful family that has played a big role in shaping who I am. My father,
Misganaw Gashaw Beza, is a lawyer, an excellent teacher, and a researcher at Bahir Dar
University. He is my greatest role model, teaching me the values of strength, honesty, and
education. I have two brothers, Leul and Amenen. Leul is a big football fan, and he calls
himself 'the king and a star football player.' His favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7).
Our family shares strong bonds, and we always support and challenge each other to
improve.
Education
I am currently in Grade 5 at Bahir Dar Academy. My subjects include math, English, science,
Amharic, HPE, ICT, spoken English, moral education, and art. Among all my subjects, I am
especially interested in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) because it
connects with my dream of becoming a software engineer. I also work hard in English,
learning concepts like the passive voice and improving my grammar.
Passions and Interests
I have a deep passion for coding and programming. I started learning coding through a
website, and since then, I have been exploring how computers work and how to create
programs. This interest makes me even more excited about becoming a software engineer
in the future. Aside from academics, I am a huge football fan. My favorite team is Real
Madrid, and my favorite player is Vinícius Júnior. I enjoy watching football matches and
discussing strategies with my friends and family.
Challenges and Personal Growth
One of the challenges I face is managing my time effectively. I sometimes struggle to balance
schoolwork, personal study, and my interests. However, I am learning to improve by
following a structured study plan and making sure I practice what I learn.
