1.Introduction

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) program plays a vital role in bridging the gap between
academic knowledge and real-world professional experience. As part of the curriculum
requirement, I had the opportunity to complete my OJT at Pavan Bari Photography Studio,
a reputed name in the field of photography and visual arts. The studio is known for its high-
quality work in various genres such as wedding photography, event coverage, portrait shoots,
commercial and product photography, as well as photo and video editing services.

This internship was a significant stepping stone in my career journey. Over the course of the
training, I not only gained practical exposure to professional photography techniques but also
learned how to work efficiently in a fast-paced, creative environment. I was introduced to
industry-standard tools and software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and basic video
editing platforms, which helped me understand the post-production workflow of images and
videos.

My role at the studio involved assisting in photo shoots, managing camera equipment, learning
about lighting setups, framing, and angles, as well as interacting with clients and team
members. I also contributed to editing assignments and learned how to maintain a consistent
editing style according to the studio’s branding. These experiences helped me develop technical
skills, enhance my attention to detail, and build effective communication and teamwork
abilities.

Furthermore, the internship enabled me to observe and participate in the end-to-end process of
a professional photography project—from pre-shoot planning and on-site execution to final
delivery. I also learned about the importance of time management, client satisfaction, creativity,
and adaptability in the dynamic world of photography.

This report provides a comprehensive overview of my internship experience, detailing the

objectives, responsibilities, challenges, and learnings I encountered during my tenure at Pavan
Bari Photography Studio. It reflects the knowledge and skills I have gained, and how this

7. Challenges Faced

While the internship at Pavan Bari Photography Studio was a valuable and enjoyable
experience, there were also a few challenges that I encountered along the way:

• Adjusting to a Fast-Paced Environment:

At the beginning, it was difficult to keep up with the pace of live shoots and quick decision-
making under pressure.

• Limited Technical Knowledge:

I initially had limited understanding of advanced camera settings and editing techniques, which
made the learning curve steep.

• Client Expectations:

Managing client preferences and making them feel comfortable during shoots required a lot of
patience and people skills.

• Time Management:

Balancing multiple tasks—such as equipment handling, assisting in shoots, and post-

processing—was sometimes overwhelming.

• Software Proficiency:

10
Learning editing tools like Photoshop and Lightroom took time and consistent practice to
become comfortable and efficient.

Despite these challenges, support from the studio team, hands-on practice, and consistent
learning helped me overcome them and grow professionally.

8. Suggestions for Improvement

Based on my experience, I would like to suggest a few improvements that could benefit future
interns and overall studio workflow:

• Structured Training Plan:

A basic orientation or training schedule at the start of the internship could help new interns
understand their roles more clearly and prepare better.

• Hands-On Editing Sessions:

More dedicated time for guided editing sessions would help interns improve their software
skills faster.

• Feedback System:

A formal feedback or review system during the internship period would allow interns to track
their progress and focus on areas for improvement.

• Resource Materials:

Providing access to learning materials or tutorials (on camera use or editing software) could
enhance self-learning.

Despite these suggestions, the overall internship experience was well-managed, and the studio
team was highly supportive and approachable.

9. Conclusion

The On-the-Job Training at Pavan Bari Photography Studio was a significant milestone in my
academic and professional journey. It provided me with real-world experience in the field of
photography, from handling equipment and interacting with clients to editing and finalizing
projects. I developed both technical and soft skills that will benefit me in future career
opportunities.
