I sat in the dark, drinking wine. He’s out with her again.

It’s already 12am, does he really think I wouldn’t

notice? He slowly came through the door and turned on the light. “Hi Kain. You’ve been out late again.”
He stumbled and fell. “Why are you still up!?” I stood up. “The question is why didn’t you come home
until 3 hours after you got off work?” His eyes widened then he looked away. “I didn’t say anything
because I knew you would get jealous again…I just went to Lilith’s house so I could tell her something in
person, I wasn’t cheating on you.” I scowled. “Is that what you think I am? A jealous boyfriend!? And you
can’t blame me when you come in all sneaky like that!” Kain got off the ground. “You do it every god
damn time! I can’t even fucking reject someone without your permission! I’m doing being your loyal
puppy! Treat me with some fucking respect and love like I give you! Is that to much for you!?” I stared at
him. “Do you know how much you worry me? I’ve been drinking alcohol more and more in these past
years. I started smoking. I’ve cut myself many times. I lay awake waiting for you to come home. I go
through this all because of you.” Kain put his head against the door. “When did we become like this? We
used to be such a happy young couple. Where did I go wrong? Where did we go wrong? I miss how it
used to be. I miss the old us. The old you. Why can’t we turn back time? To back then?” I sighed.
“Because I’m not the sweet lovable suck up just as you are no longer the little guy who would move
mountains to get what he wants. I’m just a possessive jealous stalker psycho who worries about
everything. You’re a cute softie pushover. We’ll never be the same. Those days have long been over.” He
turned around. “Do you still love me, Lian?” I hesitated. “I love you…” I looked deep into his sad eyes.
“But we need to break up. Before you say anything…this relationship is toxic, for both you and me. I
want you to live a free life. With someone who can give you what I can, can’t and more. I’ll pack my
things.” He didn’t say anything, but I could tell he was very sad. I had my stuff packed and was about to
leave. Kain grabbed my hand. “Babe…stay…with me… don’t leave.” I sighed. “You know this won’t work
anymore. We’re done.” My sight blurred as tears came to my eyes. “Stop trying so hard…I can tell you
don’t want to go. Just like I want you to stay. Stay with me and love me.” I put my suitcase down and
turned around. “I do love you but I can’t stay in this situation!” He kissed me. “Stay.” I fell to my knees,
clinging to his hoodie. “Why won’t you let me go!? I’ve been so horrible to you!” He stroked my head. “I
love you.” I pulled him down to my level. “Then fuck me.” He chuckled. “Is that why you felt like this?
Because we haven’t had sex?” I scowled. “Of course! I have a right to be insecure! You used to be so
popular everywhere and got any girl you wanted! You were straight! Just you being here makes me
wonder, but you not touching me, makes me feel like I’m just being toyed with…” He smiled. “You’re
adorable…” He kissed me and took of his hoodie. “Let’s have sex then.” He pulled a condom from his
pocket. “Why do you even-!” He sighed. “I planned to tease you into it in the morning…”
