1. Display Issues – Pixel or Bulb Problems:

● "Are you experiencing dead pixels or areas of the screen that are not
displaying correctly? If so, is it isolated to a specific region or scattered across
the screen?"

○ Dead pixels could indicate damage to the display panel or a malfunction in

specific parts of the screen.

○ Color inconsistencies (such as certain colors not displaying correctly) could

point to issues with the LEDs themselves.

● "Have you noticed any flickering or color distortion on the screen? This could
suggest an issue with the individual LEDs or the internal connections."

○ Flickering often indicates a power supply issue or an issue with the wiring
between the screen and the controller.

2. Controller or Processor Issues (CPU/Chip Problems):

● "Is the LED controller responding properly? Are there any system errors or
malfunctions when trying to change the input or display content?"

○ Problems with the controller may result in the screen not displaying content or
only displaying static or error messages.

● "Has there been any lag or delays in displaying the content? Sometimes,
processing delays can indicate problems with the internal CPU or the graphics
processing unit (GPU) in the display."

○ A lag can be caused by the CPU or GPU failing to process signals correctly or
being underpowered for the screen’s resolution.

3. Power Supply Issues:

● "Has the power supply been stable, or have there been any power surges,
sudden shutdowns, or inconsistent power flow? A faulty power supply can
cause display issues, including flickering or complete blackouts."

○ If there is no power or inconsistent power, it could be an issue with the power

supply unit (PSU).

● "Are the power cables and connectors properly secured and free of damage?
Sometimes, loose or damaged power connections can cause intermittent
screen failures."

○ Check if the screen is turning on at all or if it’s having power fluctuations.

4. Connection and Signal Issues:
● "Are there any connection issues between the display and the source device
(e.g., computers, media players)? Is the HDMI, DisplayPort, or other video input
working properly?"

○ Sometimes the issue may be external connections or cables, rather than the
internal components of the LED display.

● "Are you noticing any signal loss or poor image quality that could be attributed
to poor cable connections or network interruptions?"

○ If signal loss occurs, it could be due to faulty cables or external devices rather
than the screen itself.

5. Overheating and Environmental Factors:

● "Is the display overheating or running excessively hot? Overheating could be a
sign of a failing cooling system, which can affect the display performance."

○ If the display has been operating in a high-temperature environment or is not

ventilated well, it can cause the CPU or power supply to fail.

● "Has the screen been exposed to excessive humidity or dust? Both can cause
internal components to malfunction."

○ Excessive humidity can cause internal parts to corrode or malfunction, and

dust buildup can affect cooling and performance.

6. Warranty and Support:

● "Is the screen still under warranty? If so, would you like us to provide an
assessment to determine if it’s a repairable issue under warranty?"

○ If the issue is covered under warranty, it may be simpler and more cost-
effective for the client to request a repair from the manufacturer.

Suggested Follow-Up Questions:

● "Is there any particular part of the screen or system that has been problematic
for an extended period, or is this a new issue?"

● "Have you noticed any unusual sounds (like buzzing or clicking) coming from
the display? This can sometimes indicate hardware issues or overheating."

● "Do you have any logs or error messages from the display or controller that
might help us diagnose the problem?"
