which made the school a complete elementary school with a total population of 187.
Their adviser was Alicia Ferer. There were only twelve pupils who were the first
graduates of the school in 1965. Ten of them were the following: Ruth Alpas,
Belen Abawag, SilveriaHinampas, Julietasorongon, Lydia Herrero, Luduvico Malayo,
Benjamin Tubilid, Edgardo Sagabay, Elena Solis and Rolando Canapit.

National Government in October 21,1985.

was during his time that eight thousand (8 000) square mneters of the school site was
3ven to Bentungsulit National High School Annex which is now Silway -8 National
High School, under the leadership of Barangay Captain Lorenzo Gumbao Sr. and
Mayor Jordan H. Reyes in 1992.
While the construction of the high school buildings were on going, the grade
three building was temporarily used as the first year high school classrooms with Mr.
Romeo Calvo as the Officer - In - Charge.
t was also during his time that the DLRC was materialized and received an
award on June 27, 1994.
In1998 until2002, the administrator was Evangelina Morales, Principal I.

Through hiscontinuous motivation, pupils and teachers were determined to strive


more in their respective field. In fact, one of the pupils made it to the first place
during the Super Quiz Bee in Makabayan, Division Level and participated in the
Regional Level.
Next to Mr. Butihen was Ms. Salvacion C. Cabacaba who entered the school in
the year 2012.
Under her administration, two-classroom building (known as the grade four
building) was constructed, ICT room was put- up, two span of the covered area

with 31 teachers headed by
Hiyasminda C. Diolanto. Finally,
with the increasing number of
pupils, additional teachers and
clasrooms are needed to cater
the different needs of pupils. The

On this year the school received diffirent awards and recognition, namely: 2nd Place
Brigadca Eskwela Implemnenting School, * Place Best SWM Model School (Provincial
level), 1 Place SWM Model School Municipality of Polomolok and Level ill SBM Level
of Practice. Moreover, physical beautification of the school and professional
development are evident.

At present (from $.Y 2020) Silway-&Elementcary School have 43 teaching force and
staff, headed by the school principal, Hiyasminda C. Diolanto with a total
population of 1, 519 pupils.
