think HS learned
something because that's
where they saw their skill
in listening to their
teammates and adjust in a
performance even though
it was like that.

II. Attitude/Values (of students handled in the club)

● Elementary students were highly motivated at first then others who are not really
interested in music don't attend anymore
● High school- they prioritize some other things like class activities, sportsfest practice and
other club practices than attending string club
● Both Elem and High school tend to hide their club skills because of their difference
in types or genre of music as if they were afraid that their music would be bashed
● they are too lazy to take out the instrument because it is difficult to put it back in the
case and this is what i think they are thinking
● they don’t give 100% of their skills when their classmates are not in their group

III. Major Strategies and Approaches/Learning Materials Used

● Club GC for announcements and material distribution

● Guitar Tuna- Application for tuning string instruments and also has chord library feature
● Finger and fret numbering
2
● Using the term numbers of beat in a chord is quite effective even the strumming
pattern was not followed exactly

3
● They perform well when they are in the same group of their classmates
● Dividing Novice and Advance to see their progression

IV. Major Challenges/Difficulties Experienced

A. Club Moderator
● Convincing members to attend a club that doesn't have a grade and sometimes has
practice in class and another club at the same time

B. Club Members
● Finding time to prioritize all things in a given schedule
● Burnout and/or stress from workload (in school and at home)

V. Support Staff and Maintenance (Please cite instances of how the staff and maintenance
have contributed to the success of your club activities.)
● Kuya Nestor for letting us used the second floor of the HS building even when it's
time for him to clean up that room
● Ate Mina for letting us set up our Harana booth in front of her office and
for printing our poster and papers on booking

VI. Supervision and Monitoring (by the Student Activities Coordinator and other
Administrators)

● Thanking Ms Shiela and Ms Apple for guiding and giving 100% of their trust letting us
do our work with passion

VII. Other Suggestions and Recommendations

● Higher club moderators pay from 700 to 1000
● One club only per student and we must require all student to have one
● Club time must be included in the student’s schedule
● Club culminating per semester for more student’s exposure
