What is an Asset?
• An asset is any Solution, Tool or Best Practice that:
▪ Helps reduce implementation effort and risk
▪ Improves consistency of delivery
▪ Provides greater value to our customers
• So assets can include:
▪ Documents: functional, technical, how-to guides,
presentations, etc.
▪ Scripts & code
▪ Sales-oriented material: videos, demos etc.
• Assets are not products, but accelerators, so they may have
different degrees of completion and require some effort to
use or deploy them

When are Assets Used?
• Assets are positioned during a sales campaign to support
license and consulting sales. Assets can also attract
customers through external promotion on sites i.e. Oracle
Marketplace
• A bid team may position assets as part of a response to a
customer RFP (Request For Proposal) as a differentiator or a
way of shortening the delivery timeline
• An RFP will normally require a price for implementation.
Assets are considered as part of this process to provide the
best possible price
• During delivery, assets are used depending on it’s type:
▪ Solution – Installed in the customer environment
▪ Tool – Utilized to automate aspects of the delivery
▪ Best Practices – Documentation for referral

Asset Maturity Explained
Gold assets meet the same standards as Silver and Bronze but include the
GOLD IP full suite of TCM supporting documentation i.e. user guides, test scripts,
wider range of sales materials and other documentation
Silver assets are supported by the same documents for Bronze but with the
SILVER IP addition of an estimate which is then made available within “ICE-T” (the new
Oracle Services Estimation Tool) and a sales brochure or video
Bronze assets are at the entry level for all IP assets. For blueprints the asset
is supported by a document in a Redwood PowerPoint or Word format. For
BRONZE IP
Solutions and tools there is a requirement for a Solution Description and
Deployment Instruction document
