My name is Blorbo Bleepus, I had once lived
peacefully with my mother and father, in a city
called Hivea, an underground colony of bees in
hanging, hexagonal, tiered homes and buildings
made of beeswax. Its layers were completed with
hospitals to heal our ill, schools to educate our
young. We were a Beedhist colony, worshipping
Beesus faithfully, as we believed he protected us
from threats. We also had guards stationed
outside of the hive to protect us from threats, but
the guards were rarely needed, as we were
peaceful creatures. Until that day, when the
invasion started. A swarm of wasps 1.5 million
strong, with nearly half a million hornets. We had
approximately a million troops, but since we rarely
needed them, only approximately 750 thousand
were mobilized. They invaded quickly, the wasps
and hornets each occupying half of the hive, the
wasps beginning to rapidly execute millions of the
workers, and executing the queen.
The hornets began shipping bees back to their
nest, presumably to work, and taking my parents
with them, as the wasps began carting us off to
walled-off cities in cattle cars, crammed into them
like sardines. When we arrived, there was little
food, uniforms with labeled badges marking us as
bees. Then, they began shipping us off to camps
in trains; that was the day I lost my faith in Beesus,
the bees there were forced to work to death, and
when deemed unable to work any longer, they
were taken away, never to return. I never knew
what happened to them, because I escaped. I had
been digging for months, subsisting off of only the
slop they served us once a day as I tunneled
beneath the electric fence to escape. When I
eventually made it out, I became a wandering
nomad, traversing the lands and pollinating the
flowers I happened upon, and that's where I’ve
been ever since.
