the absence of on-campus housing, meals, and transportation costs.

areas or have physical disabilities that prevent them from attending traditional classes.

countries to engage with each other and learn from each other.

and instructors the opportunity to improve their technological skills.
Disadvantages of Distance Education
Lack of face-to-face interaction with professors and peers can lead to feelings of isolation and
reduce opportunities for building personal and professional networks.
Technology issues, including internet access, can adversely affect the quality of online
education. Technical problems may limit students' ability to participate fully in class,
complete assignments on time, or interact with instructors and peers.
Online courses often require self-motivation, time-management, and study skills independent
of instructor guidance. Students who struggle in these areas may find distance learning more
difficult than traditional classroom learning.
Distance education may also lack the resources available in traditional classroom settings,
such as campus libraries and in-person support from teaching assistants.
Some employers and academic institutions may not recognize online degrees and certificates
as equivalent to those obtained through on-campus education, limiting career and educational
opportunities for students who complete distance learning programs.
We’re living in an age of great technological advances. Therefore, we
apply them on every fields for having a better and easier life. Economy,
medical, culture, specially education. Nowadays, learning is easier for
people to access. Not only for those who learn traditionally but also in-
traditional ways. One of them called Distance Education.
It goes without saying that Distance education offers numerous
advantages. Firstly, its flexibility allows us to access educational
materials from anywhere with an electronic device which has internet
connection. This ability makes it more comfortable for individuals with
busy schedules. Secondly, distance education includes many platforms
such as you tube, e-learning,.. which have the ability to illustrate more
interesting and easier for students to learn and remember. Thirdly, this
way of education is often more affordable than traditional education
due to the absence of transportation, documents costs. Moreover, it
doesn't waste too much time to join classes because of bad weather,
traffic jam,..Thus, teachers and students can save their money and time.
Nevertheless, every coin has two sides and so is distance edu. Lacking of
communicating directly may lead to feelings of disconnection between
teachers and students. Furthermore, this new form requires us to have
self-discipline, time-management and learning skills to study
independently since the instructors are not always by our sides. And if
you prove that you are able to learn distance, you will widen your range
of knowledge. Last but not least, there are issues of internet connection
can disturb students in their study. So, we need to avoid these issues to
keep on track by preparing carefully all the conditions
After taking everything into consideration, obviously the advantages
outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, distance edu need to be
expanded and considered as a new permanent educational campaign.
