Choudhary and Kalita(2018)studiedtrendsofarea,production and productivity of turmeric in

Assam, They observed that, R2values of quadratic function for all the three aspects of
turmeric crop, viz., area, production and productivity for all fruit crops were higher
than linearand exponential functions. Hence, the quadratic functional form
wasselectedforfittingthetrendofarea,productionandproductivityofturmeric crop based on the
fitted trend of production The „C‟ value inthe quadratic functional form for area,
production and productivity
ofturmericcrop,whichwerepositiveandsignificantThisimpliestheaccelerationofgrowthofarea,pr
oductionandproductivityofthecropintheState.

Siti Mir‟atul Khasanah et al. (2019) studied trend analysis of redchili price-formation models.
The study found a rising trend in prices
intheSlemanRegencyfromJanuary2014toDecember2016.Theresults reveal a trend in red
chili prices at the farmer level in SlemanRegency. The trend can be expressed by Y
= 11,747 + 321X.
Theresultsoftheanalysisshowthatthetrendlinehasanincreasingtendency.Thatindicatesthatoveral
lthepriceofred chilli increased from year to
year.Thefactorssignificantlyinfluencingtheredchilipriceswasthepriceofcayennepepper.Thepro
ductioncostofchili,the price of tomatoes, and the price of chili for the previous 2
month shad only partial and non significant effects.

Pusadekar et al. (2020) studied the Trend and decompositionanalysis of groundnut in


gujrat. The trend have been fitted on the
timeseriesdata.Theslopeofthecurveisgivenbythevalueassociatedwith year (x). Trend
analysis provides the rate of change of particularvariables during the period of reference
and the direction of change butit fails to provide the rate of change per annum. The
trend in area,production and productivity of groundnut in Gujarat was estimated
andpresented . It is seenthat, the cubic function was best fitted to area,production as
well as productivity. The cubic functions were best fittedbyconsideringthehighestvalueofR2.
