CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Objectives:
The objectives of this LAC SESSION is to:
1. Educate students, teachers, and parents about child abuse prevention and reporting.
2. Increase awareness of child abuse among students, teachers, parents, and community
members.
3. Empower individuals to recognize and report suspected cases of child abuse.
4. Foster a school culture that prioritizes child safety and well-being.
Highlights of the Activity:
The school conducted 1 workshop for 124 pupils, 8 teachers and 100 parents, covering
topics such as child abuse identification, prevention strategies, and reporting procedures. Flyers
containing vital information on child abuse prevention and reporting. These were translated to
ensure accessibility.
Launched a social media campaign using facebook to reach a wider audience, the
campaign generated 140 likes, 35 shares and 35 comments, indicating significant engagement.
Provided specialized training to 8 teachers on recognizing signs of child abuse and
following established reporting protocols. Post-training assessments showed a 100% increase in
teacher confidence and knowledge.
Integrated child protection topics into 1st parent-teacher meetings, facilitating open
discussions and addressing parental concerns.

Result/Output:
The assembly ended up successfully.
Result 1: Significantly maintain zero (0) child abuse incident was observed for the SY. 2024-2025.
Result 2: Post campaign surveys showed a 100% in awareness of child abuse among students and parents.
Result 1: teachers reported increase confidence in identifying and reporting suspected cases.
Result 2: A more supportive and protective school environment was observed, as evidence by increase student
and parent participation in child protection initiatives.

Challenges and Lessons Learned:


1. Reaching specific demographics, securing adequate resources.
2. Improving communication strategies, refining training materials and campaign materials.
