Stercus Pharyngitis Research Paper
Streptococcus pharyngitis is a bacterial infection of the throat caused by Streptococcus pyogenes,
also known as group A Streptococcus. It can causes throat pain, difficulty with swallowing, red and
swollen tonsils which can be accompanied with white patches or streaks of pus, red spots on the
palate, swollen lymph glands in the neck, fever, headache, rash, stomach ache, and fatigue. It can
lead to more serious conditions such as scarlet fever, inflammation of the kidneys, and rheumatic
fever. When Streptococcuspharyngitis is suspected, usually a rapid antigen test is run but a throat
culture also needs to be done. Treatment is usually Penicillin and Amoxicillin for children. Nursing
intervention for Streptococcus pharyngitis is to make sure the patient gets plenty of rest and also to
push fluids to keep the back of the throat lubricated and to prevent dehydration (http:/

It is caused by the bacterium Corynebacterium diphtheria and can be spread through airborne
droplets, contaminated personal items, such as used tissue, and contaminated household items. The
main symptom of Diphtheria is a thick, gray material covering the back of the throat. Other
symptoms include difficulty breathing, nasal discharge, fever, chills, and malaise. In order to
determine Diphtheria is present, a throat culture is usually done for diagnosis. The first line of
treatment is IV antibiotics which neutralize the diphtheria. Nursing interventions are to keep the
patient isolated and to make sure the patient gets plenty of rest.

Karl Marx And Max Weber Essay
Karl Marx and Max Weber, were influential social thinkers of the 19th century, having developed
many theories in various areas of sociology. One of the areas both Marx and Weber have thoroughly
discussed in their essays is origins and development of modern capitalism. Although both theorists
agree on the basic elements of modern capitalism, that is, it is a rational process of accumulation of
wealth or capital for reinvestment, yet they differ in their ideas concerning how capitalism emerged
as it did. According to Weber, religion, especially Protestantism (Calvinism) played a great role in
the development of capitalism. However for Marx, capitalism could be compared to other historical
modes of production and was based solely on material conditions.
Marx s idea of the genesis of capitalism is rooted in his theory of historical materialism. Historical
materialism is the materialistic interpretation of history and is based on the concept of dialectical
materialism. He regarded that evolution is the result of economic forces alone, which is why the
fundamental activity of man is social production . Since, no man can produce in isolation, man needs
to enter into definite political and social relationships in each mode of production.
The transition from one mode of production to the other can occur only when conflict arises
between different social classes. It is only when there is complete negation of the previous mode of
production that a new order arises. Hence Marx s
Blow s Use Of Diction In Literature
In literature, diction is the words chosen by an author to give a style to how they express what
they are writing about. Dependent on the word choice, a piece of writing can be formal (well
suited for important or official situations), informal (used in ordinary circumstances), colloquial
(common words or phrases in everyday speech which usually varies in different regions), or
contain slang (newly coined terms not apart of standard language). Choice of words can also
determine a writing s positivity or negativity towards the written subject, as well as the author s
tone. All together the words used in a piece of writing have to be accurate, infer and instill the
intended feelings and message the author is trying to get across, and must be... Show more content on

Particular words give off negativity, whilst others are positive. Various tones can be achieved
depending upon an author s word choice. By utilizing words such as deadly , killings , terror , and
death in his article, Blow instills a sense of gloominess, fear, and tragedy in the reader. He
strategically uses these feelings towards getting his message across about the tragic police
killings. Blow uses words like unarmed and phrases such as begin a righteous crusade when
referring to the black people being affected by these occurrences, creating a sense of sympathy and
positivity towards these victims and their backlash. Another instance of Blow expressing his point
through his words is when he took the question, Why are you not writing about the real problem:
black on black crimes? and turned it around asking Why aren t you, America, focused on the real
problem: Americans killing other Americans? to make a statement about how low the numbers of
foreign terror deaths there are and the extreme measures taken against it, versus actually solving the
issue with the most deaths. By using his words in these specific ways, Blow opens the eyes of the
reader to the situation at
Marketing Plan For New Uniforms Essay
In August of 2016, we will work with designers to design our custom designed NBA jerseys for
the NBA and for retail sell and we expect to have the jerseys ready to display by the middle of
September. In October, we will present our jerseys to public and make them available for sell on
them online our website and sport apparel stores and we plan to target our audience by
advertising on social media such as Twitter and Instagram. We will display our jerseys in fashion
and sports magazines and we plan to have this completed by the second week in November.
During December, we will target young rookie NBA players to market our jerseys and we will
target the players by providing them with an endorsement deals with our company and we expect
to have this completed by the beginning of February 2017. During March and April, we plan to
attend fashion shows with our designers and present our newest edition of jerseys by having
NBA players and models wear our jerseys at the events, which we plan to attract new customers
and business relationships with designers and companies to help our company grow more in
profits and expand on the different creations of jerseys. We will determine the goals of the
marketing plan have been met by analyzing the feedback and reactions people have at the fashion
shows and on social media. There are many people that are on social media that will be a person s
worst critic and it would be best to hear what the say and get their reactions because we will know
The Rise And Fall Of Ktonos Short Story
Ktonos, by virtue of winning the grand melee, was now the rising star in the class. Defiant of
tradition, he would no longer carry a seconod blade into a fight. Both hands on the hilt of his
bastard sword, he was rapidly showing that he was a force to be reckoned with in a fight. More
than a few of his class mates were forced out of training for days at a time from injuries that he
delivered. Even enchanted to not deliver a lethal wound, Ktonos had found was to subvert this,
using his pommel to great effect, or even just his bare hands. He seemed to not be content with a
fight unless it ended with blood on his hands, his own or someone elses. And it was drawing mroe
concern from the Weapon Master.

Much larger than him, but not one of the heavy warriors. This one was clad in hides, and carried
a heavy cleaver blade. Ktonos knew he was outweighed by nearly five stone of weight, and that
also meant he was likely outclassed in strength as well. Their reach was close with the longer
blade Ktonos bore, so he knew he was going to have to rely on speed and skill, hoping he was the
better in these regards. When the orc swung at him, it was a wide, clumsy blow, and Ktonos
exploded forward, ducking under the strike, and bringing his blade up as he moved past the foe.
There was a blur of motion as Ktonos whipped his blade around in a swift motion that pruned the
arm off of the orc, bringing the enemy weapon out of play, and then Ktonos swung one last time, the
honed edge of the sword taking his foe across the neck, slitting his throat. The beast toppled to the
ground, Ktonos stared, his eyes picking out the hot flow of blood from the neck of the orc, and he
leaned down without thinking, running his fingers through the liquid before stripping off his glove
in annoyance. He let out a slow breath as his fingers felt the hot rush of blood on his skin. He lifted
it to his tongue, tasting the bitter, acrid flavour that the orc blood contained. His head still swam at
the sensation, tasting life there, the essence of a living thing, being snuffed out by his actions. This
was strength, power, something that he d discovered might be impossible to go without. What was
more, the rush of sensation blotted out any other concerns from his
A Rhetorical Analysis Of Water Works By Cynthia Barnett

Water Works by Cynthia Barnett Water is one of the most precious resources, which support the life
of almost everything in the world. Indeed, the world is covered by 75% water, but most of this water
is not suitable for human consumption or use. On the same note, the world has been increasing its
consumption of water due to the increasing population, leading to increased demands. The increased
water consumption, which has been a result of high population, is worrying because the matter may
lead to massive water shortages in the future.
Cynthia Barnett addresses several issues in her article Water Works.
A) Misuse and Pollution of Water
Barnett states that one of the primary reasons that have led to a diminishing of water resources has
been the misuse and pollution of water and water sources. She ... Show more content on

Apart from the article by Barnett, several other papers have been written concerning water crisis. For
instance, the American Water Works Association writes that in as much as the world is covered
with 70% water, 97% of it is salty, and therefore it is not suitable for consumption. Another 2% is
ice that is found at the poles. Primarily, this cannot be accessed for consumption since it is far from
habitable places. Only 1% is available for use (American Water Works Association).
The Story of Drinking Water The consumption of water has been increasing in the last few decades.
Most of the demand is caused by agricultural activities (BBC Features). Water needed for industrial
purposes also drives up the demand. The world can learn about ways of conserving water from the
countries that have initiated the measures and have become successful at it. Australia is considered
as the most successful so far. Recycling, desalination, and harvesting rainwater are some of the
solutions that can be applied to handle water shortages and create
One Day In September
Terrorism is a highly regarded issue in the Middle East. Israel is the victim of this conflict. The
movie One Day in September shows how Palestinian terrorist group held Israeli athletes captive
during the 1972 Olympic games. I was unaware this occurred in history as the film is a
documentary. The film I believe did a great job reenacting the events. It used actual pictures,
videos, and even had people who were involved speak. The film also changed my understanding
drastically. While staying at the hotel, members of the Palestinian Terrorist group known as
Black September jumped over a wall and intruded where the Israeli athletes stayed. Some were
able to escape, a couple were killed, and others were held hostage. After news spread, the terrorists
put out a list of demands in order to free the athletes. The Germans order a meeting to be set up at
the airport where a trap was set. It was no surprise the terrorists were aware and in the end some
of them were caught and multiple aircrafts were blown to pieces. I believe that this plan should
have been more effectively established. First the snipers at the airport didn t know there were 8
terrorists. Second, the snipers did a poor job of executing gunfire as friendlies were in their way.
One Day in September made me truly feel empathetic for the Israeli athletes. It is very
uncomfortable knowing that your life is in danger. And if you are to make one move you... Show

After watching One Day in September I feel like the U.S. should change its approach to harbor the
guerillas. Everybody knows the US is heavily involved in the Palestinian Israel conflict today and
other Middle East conflicts. We all know the relationship between the US and Israel as well since
we provide for their military and economy. However, I believe there is still a role for the US to play
and not be just the middle man. I m not sure quite how but it can be
Dbq Factory Life
Although, others may prove that factory life was, in fact, safe, and it gave others benefits due to
working in these factories. Factory life is indeed a very high risk for these kids to be working in,
due to the conditions and injuries they encountered while working in the factory. During the 1800
s many doctors treated some employees that did work in factories. Dr.ward stated that They are
really nurseries of disease and vice. ( House of Lords Interview Dr. Ward ). Dr. Ward was
interviewed the year of 1819; he proved many children in the factories have been through some
instances where they lost a finger or two while working on machines Dr.Ward firmly said, When I
was a surgeon in the infirmary, accidents were very often admitted to the infirmary, though the

Children lost many body parts due to working on these machines they re required to use. Which
goes back to why working in factories is very harmful. Although, these kids already knew what they
were getting themselves into while working in the factory. They fairly needed the benefits that were
provided for the hours they worked. Plus during this time, it was very difficult to come across work
during this time era. There s another example in the document John Birely which is about a
perception of an actual factory worker. In the story, John Birley someone stated that I would run if I

situation they were going into. Sometimes these kids were enforced or encouraged to lie to other
authorities about their injuries or other symptoms that happened to them while working on the
Research Paper On Ebenezer Scrooge
Ebenezer Scrooge is a grumpy, mean miser who dramatically changes overnight! Before this
amazing transformation though, he was morose and very tough. Employee Bob Cratchit states, He
only paid me 15 shillings a week which was definitely not enough to keep my family in good state.
So what has happened to this new and improved Scrooge? Let s hear from his nephew Fred. He said
he d rather die than spend Christmaswith my family. Although, people never liked Scrooge, his new
behavior is attracting people to like him much more. Even though Scrooge had a heart, maybe it has
opened more and realized what the importance of love is added Bob Cratchit.

The National Security Council Is A Forum For The President
The National Security Council is a forum for the president to consider issues of national security and
foreign policy with his national security advisers and senior cabinet officials. The problem of
national security strategy is that it causes many conflicts and arguments. There are many definitions
of concepts of national security. Traditionally security means, first, as the physical survival of the
state, protection and preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity, the ability to react
adequately to potential and real external threats. The date September 11, 2001 has changed the way
the world began to perceive their own security threats and related to these threats. As for security and
US approach, the White House has released its new National Security Strategy in 2002 establishing a
pattern for eventual war against terrorism. ( The Whitehouse National Strategy to Secure
Cyberspace. . Network Security2002, no. 10 (2002): 2 3. doi:10.1016/s1353 4858(02)10002 x). The
argument presented here today will hopefully answer the question Why is it so difficult to develop
and implement a successful national security strategy ? This paper is an analysis of the strategy plan
of national security of the United Statesspecifically after the attacks of Sept. 11. The National
Security Strategy is poor, especially in relation to national warfare threats. First, the threats are too
expansive in which they provided the US the right to attack any state that is a potential
Political Correctness
Freedom is not Politically Correct In recent decades there has been a push, at least in the Western
world, toward political correctness. We may quibble over when to call a spade a spade or just how
far this should go, but all in all, getting rid of racial slurs and other derogatory nonsense is a net
benefit to society. However, the pendulum has swung too far. There is also a push to pass laws
enforcing political correctness, mostly targeted at hate speech (anything which offends, insults, or
outright threatens a person or group). To outlaw any idea, no matter how distasteful, is dangerous
absurdity which borders on the Orwellian. In its most noble form, hate speech legislation is an
attempt to reduce hatred and bigotry, and many who... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A bureaucracy as large and complex as a national (or even state) government can never effectively
handle such a task because no government, no matter how close to its constituents it is or how well
constructed it may be, is free from corruption. It is estimated that in one year 2010 the United States
federal government wasted in excess of $100 billion dollars. Not counting discretionary spending,
pork barrel spending, or the general bloat of unnecessary and inherently wasteful programs, the
federal level alone lost $300 for every citizen in America. To enforce laws banning hate speech
would be a logistical nightmare. Collecting all communications from virtually infinite sources is a
tall order, but to comb through every blog post, every forum comment, every Facebook status and
YouTube video looking for violations, let alone track down the offending parties, is an impossibly
tall order. But then, most online communities police themselves, and any enforcement agency could
rely on these communities to report on their members. And, after all, we now know the National
Security Agency has been successfully and, I might add, illegally keeping records of the emails,
phone calls, and text messages of millions of American citizens under the guise of preventing
terrorism a la Bush s Patriot
Essay on America Needs Stricter Gun Control Laws
Gun control has become more of a hot topic in recent years. Some believe that there is no need for
additional gun control. On the other hand, we have some that believe that the government can
improve gun laws. Although many believe that gun control will violate their rights, the idea of
stricter gun control laws can help communities. We live in very violent times. There are daily
accounts reported in the media about shootings. We do well to ask, Is there a solution to this
growing crisis? Yes! It is call gun control. The lack of stricter gun control has damaged our
communities. How so? Well, in order to answer that question, first we have to understand what
makes up a community. Then we will explore the history of our gun control laws.... Show more

Many people are familiar with the second amendment. However, this amendment has been
interpreted many different ways to fit the wants of this society. It has been used and several times
by the Supreme Court and politicians. But we need to examine the second amendment closely.
Many people fail to mention or read the small print. The second amendment was ratified in 1791.
The second amendment states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free
state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed This has been distorted
so many ways. This amendment is also dated. We have to keep in mind that our society has
changed since this amendment has been written. This was made around the time of the
Revolutionary War. During that time all males citizens were required to own guns because they
were fighting against the British forces. Virginia has the best interpretation of the second
amendment. Before the Declaration of Independence, Virginia was the first colony to adopt a state
constitution. They stated that the second amendment as follows: A well regulated Militia,
composed of the body of the people trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a
free state Today there is no need to protect ourselves from government take over. We handed them
ourselves our lives our education. They control the way we live and raise our children among a lot
of other things weather we agree with their input or not. There
