The Significance of Shakespeare s Regards Toward His...
The Significance of Shakespeare s Regards toward his Mistress in Sonnet 130 Sonnet 130
compares William Shakespeare s mistress to typical, natural beauty; each time drawing attention to
his mistress obvious imperfections. He addresses her as if she cannot compare to the ideal
appearances women are expected to look like in that of the natural world. The comparisons
Shakespeare addresses highlight aspects of nature, such as snow (3)or coral (2) yet; each
comparison proves to be unflatteringly about his mistress. However, in the final rhyming couplet,
Shakespeare claims his lovefor his mistress by professing; that even though his mistresses has a
great deal of flaws, he accepts them and loves her as much as any man could love a woman.... Show

The line, And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare is acting as the climax. One could argue that
the climax is the most important element of a story because it is known as the most intense or
exciting part . This line shows excitement because of the sudden change in Shakespeare s point of
view. It acts as a decisive moment for Shakespeare in the eyes of the readers. This becomes
intriguing to the readers because the poem quickly shifts to a love poem and emphasizes a way of
love that all women wish a man could provide. This love is shown by Shakespeare through the
way he states how a women needs not to be told unseemly lies to be loved like a women should be
loved. Many would enjoy reading this sonnet because of Shakespeare s final declaration of love at
the end of the poem. The line, And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare reveals a sincere
depiction of his mistress by emphasizing unflattering aspects about her, which adds importance to
his high regard and unconditional love for her. Yes, his mistress is not as beautiful as things found in
nature, yet Shakespeare loves her nonetheless. In the closing couplet, he emphasizes the fact that she
is as extraordinary as any other woman described with exaggerated or false comparisons. It is a
blunt, but charming sincerity that make Sonnet 130 a very memorable poem.

Equality In The Story Soldier s Home
In the story Soldier s Home women do not have equal social rights as men. Stories like this one
perpetuate inequality by making it more acceptable. In Soldier s Home women are viewed as
sexual objects for men to own. The setting of the story is in 1919, when women were not treated
equal as they are today. To better understand the world we must view it from several perspective.
From a feminist perspective, the way women are presented in this story is offensive. Feminism is
the advocacy of women s rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men. In
the story Women are not socially equal to men.
The image portrayed of women in this story is is nothing like the women of today. Throughout the
story the speaker sees ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He refers to having a relationship with a women as getting her. Women should not be obtained.
Using words like that demeans women as just objects for men to play with.
He feels entitled to having a women if he is good enough. The speaker claimed When you were
really ripe for a girl you always got one. Just because you have accomplished impressive goals does
not mean you get a women as a reward. Women as used as rewards in several stories. In the real
world the sense of being entitled to a woman as a reward can lead to violence and rape, when denied
the reward. When someone feels like they have earned something they will take it even if it does not
belong to them. Women are not prizes to be won and owned.
The setting of the story affect attitudes toward women and their role in society. The setting of the
story is during the first wave of feminism when women were getting the right to vote and other legal
liberties. A focus on social equality did not happen until much later. The mindset of the speaker s
attitude toward women was acceptable during that time period. When the men came home from the
world war many women showed their gratitude toward the returning men. Seeing how other soldiers
were treated when they returned might of caused him to view women as rewards. The speaker views
the world differently after spending three years in the Marines and only getting to spend time with
women that did
Summary Of The Last Of The Mohicans
Throughout Cooper s novel the reader and Hawkeye are provided with many oppositions and
situations based on Culture, Race, and Geography that creates many tensions throughout the
novel. The Last of the Mohicans tends to be centered on the Character Hawkeye, a pathfinder and
pioneer that links the wilderness and civilization as mediation. The text itself is driven to be a
generic paradox and an encompassing narrative, the history with romance and the disagreement
between fact and fiction. Cooper uses a blend of facts and fiction in many scenarios. The third
year of the Indian and French War The Last of The Mohicans suppresses the boundaries or outlines
that divide literature and history in order to create a narrative of American, within which the real
man can be understood. Hawkeye, who is so to say a typical American is between the fiction and
fact boundary. He links the people and the actual events of the period of time to fit right in to
Coopers genre. The Indian Nations, Fort William Henry massacre, Colonel Munroe, and Marquis de
Montcalm are all based on fact but then Cooper intertwines significant romance. Coopers chosen
genre, historical romance, is based on the movement between the stages of cultural development or
hostile civilizations. It allows cultural self awareness and analysis, which allows the narrative
expression. In a traditional narrative love is a quest rather than a cultural analysis. The texts
movement tracks the hero as he or she enters the unknown
My Brother Sam Is Dead Character Analysis
War is when two or more nation groups have an armed conflict. In April 1775, an armed conflict
began. The war was known as, the American Revolution. The American Revolution was a war of
principles fought between the Loyalists and Patriots. The Loyalist were men who chose to be
loyal to their king and who feared and did not want any chaos; Patriots were the opposite.
Hankering, the Patriots believed in having principles for their freedom and nothing could stop
them from achieving what they wanted. Although, the main groups in the war was between the
Loyalists and Patriots there was numerous people who chose not to become a Loyalist nor to
become a Patriot. For example, Tim in the novel, My Brother Sam Is Dead, struggles to make a
decision to become a Patriot or a Loyalist . First, Life s death causes Tim to not choose the Loyalist
side. Tim... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sam is Tim s older brother that he admired, so his death was traumatizing. Unlike his father and
Jeremiah s death Tim did witness Sam s death. Seeing General Putnam and General Reed s
opinion, Tim was very disturbed on how they treated Sam. On page 194, General Reed said, Do
you want to know what General Putnam is thinking? It s this. He is thinking that he can t win the
war if he doesn t keep the people on his side. He s thinking that he can t keep people on his side if
the troops are running amok among the civilian population...and he s thinking that it doesn t
matter very much who he executes to do it. So many men have died, so many mothers have wept,
so many brothers and sisters have cried... It doesn t matter to him very much who he executes...
that s why he s going to have sam shot . In this evidence, Tim learns that Sam was going to be
killed by his own side just like his father and that General Putnam and Reed both knew that Sam
was going to be killed for something he was framed for and they don t care. For example, Sam s
execution. At the day of Sam s
Disadvantages Of A Shipping Pool
A shipping pool enjoys several benefits. Besides the ability to undertake large contracts of
affreightment, the pool can diversify risks and enjoy economies of scope. With higher load factors
and the ability to minimise ballast legs and idle time, a pool can benefit from a semi industrial
carrier model for long term relationships and fulfilment of contracts. Downsides of a shipping pool
are issues with regulatory agencies, no control of tonnage, reliance on third parties, market risks, and
speculative activity.

3.4 Similar Tonnage

Vessels that combined a pool are similar between them in terms of deadweight tonnage. The tonnage
should be more or less similar so that cargo and ship switched and optimum fleet deployment could
be effectively managed.
3.5 Weighing System / Fair System
It is common for shipping pools to use pre arranged weighting systems and algorithms. Earnings and
distribution are predefined in the system. Overhead costs and fees are deducted and distributed
between participants using the formula. Software aids the decision making process of the pool
management to ensure that the system is fair. Following the pre defined period, participants can
withdraw their ships from the pool. 3 to 6 month commitments are typical. If owners ... Show more

Goals of a pooling arrangement are aimed at sharing risk by operating contributed assets as a
cohesive fleet and collecting and distributing revenues using a pre determined points based
weighting system. In the industry, the majority of pools are not structured through separate legal
entities. Such cases could also be considered as joint ventures. Revenue and cost sharing endeavour
to protect return on the company s assets. It is typical to appoint a pool manager, who has the power
to use voting rights and decision making rights from a management contract. In some cases, the
manager is merely an agent for the pool

Essay On Due Process
The term due process of law is in the 5th amendment of the U.S Constitution. It states No person
shall . . . be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law (The V Amendment of
the U. S Constitution). Due process also comes from the sixth and fourteenth amendment of the
U.S Constitution. This term means that it s a constitutional law that is guaranteed that every
citizen gets every legal proceeding. They will be treated equal and the individual will be noticed
of those proceedings, the individual is given the chance to be heard before the government does
take life, liberty, or property away. It gives guarantee that a law isn t unreasonable or arbitrary. In
the sixth Amendment it guarantees the seven specific rights to any person getting charged. The
seven rights are right to speedy trial, to a public trial, to be judged by an impartial jury, right to
know the accusers are and to know the nature of the crime being committed and evidence held
against you. This connects to due processby giving a notice of the individual rights and being able to
have those rights, however on the upside that notice will better help a criminal find a lawyer or make

Eglin Pkwy Research Papers
Accidents on the road happen daily. Reducing the likelihood of an accident requires the
enforcement of necessary traffic laws and the use of appropriate safety measures. On occasion,
however, certain safety measures are not taken or enforced when they should be. One such place
that has great need for such measures is the intersection of Eglin Pkwy and 12th Ave in Shalimar
Florida. The Eglin Pkwy and 12th Ave intersection is a very familiar place for most locals. Here
Richbourg Ave coincides with 12th Ave and intersecting Eglin Pkwy. Going north on Eglin Pkwy
one would find Shalimar Elementary School just off to the right. Further north of the school is
Eglin Air Force Base, or Eglin , as it is commonly referred to. People coming from and going to
Eglin pass through this intersection. On the left of Richbourg Ave is Meigs Middle School and the

According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were 499
pedestrian fatalities in 2011, and in 2015 that number had increased to 632, an approximately 27%
increase in fatalities. With that being said, traffic regulation should be a priority. Traffic laws are
great advocates for road safety, but a law cannot enforce itself nor can it keep everybody safe. That
is why the use of traffic and road signs is important: they enforce and they protect. For instance, it
is a generally known that you cannot exceed the speed limit of twenty miles per hour inside a
school zone; however, most people wouldn t know that they were in a school zone if there hadn t
been a sign that indicated an entrance into a school zone. In addition, while the majority of drivers
are aware that a right turn on red is legal unless otherwise prohibited, many of them wouldn t know
the requirements for a legal right turn are, as stated under Florida Statute
