Actividades.

Ability: Identify the location of some objects.


Indicators:
 Recognizes the usefulness of mentioning place prepositions for better placement of objects.
 Determines the interrogative structure in communicative situations.
 Characterize the interrogative structure in communicative situations.
 Recognizes the prepositions of place in a given context.
Draw your bedroom and name the objects in it. (Dibuja tu pieza y nombra los objetos en ella)

Can you find all your stuffs? (¿Podes encontrar todas tus cosas?)

In this class, we are going to learn how to ask and answer about locations of people, animals,
and objects using “where” and prepositions of place (En esta clase aprenderemos a preguntar
y responder sobre la ubicación de personas, animales y objetos usando la palabra interrogativa
“Where” y preposiciones de lugar).

We use the Wh- question “WHERE” to ask about a place or to know the location of
people, animals or things (Usamos la palabra de pregunta “Where” para preguntar sobre
un lugar o para saber la ubicación de personas, animales o cosas).
Let's see the structure for asking and answering (Veamos la estructura para preguntar y
responder).
Singular: Where is …? (¿Dónde está?) Plural: Where are …? (¿Dónde están?)
A: Where is the book? (¿Dónde está el libro?) A: Where are the books? (¿Dónde están los
B: The book is on the desk (El libro está sobre libros?)

Question - Structure (Pregunta – estructura) Answer – structure (Respuesta – estructura)


Where + verb to be (Is/are) + subject Subject + verb to be (is/are) + preposition
of place + complement
Example: Example:
Where is the dog? (¿Dónde está el perro?) It’s in front of the cat (Está frente al gato).

To ask about the location of singular or plural objects location we can use the wh – question
“Where” (Para preguntar sobre la ubicación de objetos en singular o plural usamos la palabra de
pregunta “Where”).

Let's recall some IN (en/dentro de)


prepositions of place ON (sobre)
(Recordemos algunas UNDER (debajo de)
preposiciones de lugar). BEHIND (detrás de)
IN FRONT OF (frente de)
NEXT TO (junto a/al lado de)
BETWEEN (entre/en medio de)
