INTRA-SCHOOL SPORTS CLUB &

LEAGUE STRUCTURE
Grades 9–12

OBJECTIVE
To create a structured platform for regular student participation in Football, Basketball, and
Volleyball through either a league format or a house-based system, fostering physical fitness,
team spirit, and healthy competition.

PLAN A: SPORTS LEAGUE FORMAT


Eligibility:
● Open to all students from Grades 9 to 12

● Students may choose to participate in only one sport for the academic year

Available Sports:
● Football

● Basketball

● Volleyball

Registration:
● Interested students will sign up for their chosen sport
● Sign-ups will be open for a fixed window

● Students must commit for the entire season

Team Formation:
● Based on total sign-ups, teams of 7–8 players will be formed

● Teams will be balanced to ensure fair competition

● The number of teams per sport will depend on student interest

League Format:
● A round-robin format will be followed within each sport

● Each team plays all others at least once

● Matches will be scheduled during sports or club periods

● A league table will be maintained for each sport

Match Rules:
● Standard basic rules for each sport

● Referees: senior students / PE faculty members

● Duration and scoring to be standardized and communicated beforehand

End-of-Year Recognition:
● League Champions (for each sport)

PLAN B: HOUSE-BASED SPORTS COMPETITION


(Alternate Plan if League Format Is Not Approved)
Participants:
● All students in Kamal, Vishal, and Nihal houses from Grades 9–12

● Conducted during Clubs Period on a rotational basis

Format:
● 2 sports per week, rotating among:

○ Football

○ Basketball

○ Volleyball

● Example Rotations:

○ Week 1: Football + Basketball

○ Week 2: Basketball + Volleyball

○ Week 3: Football + Volleyball

○ Repeat cycle

Match System:
● 2 houses play per match, third house rests

● House-wise teams formed on the spot or pre-decided

● Points awarded:

○ Win: 5 points

○ Draw: 2 points

○ Loss: 0 points

Tracking & Incentives:


● House points accumulated throughout the term

● Scores contribute to overall House Championship


● Final matches or trophies can be held during Annual Sports Day

EXPECTED OUTCOMES
● Increased student involvement in co-curricular activities

● Regular sporting exposure and physical development

● Reinforcement of house spirit and team collaboration

● Talent identification for inter-house and inter-school events
