Observations & Trends
● OC Cutoffs: Top colleges close seats under 5,000; mid-tier fill up to 50,000; smaller
colleges extend to ~150,000.
● BC & SC Categories: Closing ranks are considerably higher—typically 1.5–2x (BC)
and 2.5–3x (SC) of OC cutoffs.
● Category Impact: Reserved categories ensure better access to higher-tier colleges
even at lower ranks.
● Branch Differences: CSE has the tightest cutoffs; branches like Civil or Mechanical
often allow much higher closing ranks.
● Expected Rise in Later Rounds: Cutoffs will increase in Round 2/3 and spot
rounds; above figures correspond to Round 1 or expected.
How to Use These Cutoffs
1. Identify your category and branch interest.
2. Compare your AP EAMCET rank to the OC cutoffs if you’re OC, or use the
multipliers for BC/SC/ST categories.
3. Shortlist colleges where your rank is less than the cutoff for your category.
4. Monitor Round-wise cutoffs, as seats fill and cutoffs rise—always adjust your
preferences accordingly.
