Day 1: Screening

Reporting: Candidates report to the selection center.

Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test: Assesses verbal and non-verbal reasoning abilities.

Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT): Candidates write a story based on a picture and then participate in a
group discussion.

Day 2: Psychological Tests


Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): Candidates write stories based on a series of pictures.

Word Association Test (WAT): Candidates respond to a series of words.

Situation Reaction Test (SRT): Candidates respond to a series of situations.

Self-Description Test (SDT): Candidates write about themselves, their parents, teachers, friends, and those they
dislike.

Day 3 & 4: Group Testing and Interview


Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks:

Group Discussions (GD): Assess communication and teamwork skills.

Group Planning Exercise (GPE): Evaluates planning, leadership, and resource management.

Progressive Group Task (PGT): Challenges candidates to overcome obstacles as a group.

Half Group Task (HGT): Similar to PGT but with a smaller group.

Individual Obstacles (IO): Candidates tackle various obstacles individually.

Command Task: One candidate leads the group in a task.

Snake Race/Group Obstacle Race: A team race involving obstacles.

Individual Lecturette: Candidates deliver a short speech on a given topic.

Final Group Task (FGT): Another group task to assess teamwork.

Personal Interview:

A one-on-one interview with an interviewing officer to assess personality, background, and suitability.

Day 5: Conference
Final Discussion: A meeting with the entire board to discuss the candidate's performance.

Results: Candidates are informed whether they are recommended or not recommended.
