Notification on Availability of Degree Certificates and Mark Sheets on
Notional Academic Depository
This is for information of all graduated students that their Degree Certificate for the
academic years 2022–23 and 2023–24 are now available on the National Academic
Depository (NAD), Government of India, and can be accessed through the
DigiLocker platform.
Please note that these certificates are digitally verified and hold the same validity
as physical copies. Notification of UGC in this regard is annexed herewith.
Steps to Access Your Certificates:
Log in to your Digi-Locker account and follow the process to fetch your academic
documents from NAD.
Important Instructions for Entering Registration Number:
For all years,
If your Registration Number starts with '0' (zero):
Do not include the leading zero(s) when entering your Registration Number.
Example: If your Registration Number is “00123456”,”0123456” , enter it as 123456.

As you are aware that Academic Bank of credits (ABC) is an online repository of academic
awards (Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates, Mark-Sheets, etc.) lodged by the academic
institutions/boards/eligibility assessment bodies in a digital format. It is a 24x7 online mode
for making academic awards available and shall help validate their authenticity, safe storage
and easy retrieval.
The Digilocker platform of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The
Govemment of India has the facility to pull students' academic documents into the issued
documents section in an electronic form once uploaded through the Digilocker-ABC platform
by the original issuer. These electronic records available on the Digilocker platform are valid
documents as per the provisions ofthe Information Technology Act' 2000'
Earlier. the UGC vide its letters of even number da ted 03 .01 .2022. 2l .09 .2022. and 23 .09 .2024
had requested the Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to accept degrees' mark sheets. and
other educational documents available in the issued documents in the Digilocker account as
valid documents.
Therefore, all Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) are once again requested to accept the
digital copy made available in the Digilocker platform by the various Boards. including the
Central Board ofSecondary Education (CBSE) and other recognized institutions. as the legally
valid documents.
