Tiger Woods Accomplishments
Tiger Woods began to play golf at a young age with his father, Earl, as his teacher. By the time
Woods was 8, he had almost completely mastered the game and even showed his talent off on TV
on shows, such as Good Morning America. Little did he or his father know that he would grow up
to be one of the greatest golfers in the history of the game.
After turning pro in 1996, he played many PGA tournaments. One of his most famous moments was
when he won the Masters in 1997 as the youngest man ever to win it in history. Along with winning
it, he set the record score of 270 and was the first African American to win the Masters.
Tiger s fame increased as he continued to succeed in golf. He tied the course record at the British
Open with a score of 64. Among his other accomplishments included three U.S. Open wins, four U.S.
PGA titles, three Open Championship wins, and three more wins at the masters.
Though described as the world s greatest golfer, he had many downfalls. Fans had suspicions of
Tiger having affairs with several other women, although he was married. From this his career went
downhill. Woods suffered many injuries including back troubles from his swing and had to have
knee replacement surgery. Several instances occurred to where Woods had to quit in the middle of a
tournament because of his back. Many companies ended endorsements with ... Show more content on

Police suspected that he was driving under the influence but Tiger claimed he has an unexpected
reaction to prescribed medications. Police arrested him and took him to the police station. Woods
issued an apology: I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I
expect more from myself too. In June of 2017, Tiger checked himself into a clinic to get

Fire In The Awakening
In The Awakening, Kate Chopin describes the tale and life of Edna, now in her late twenties, as
she coming to the realization that she is not entirely pleased with her current life and is not
particularly excited to see where it s going. She s aware that will never attain a future that will
ease her of her sadness and make her life feel significant in any way. She is very much aware that
she is filling a role that society expects of her and feels that she is losing her own independence, or
at least what was there to begin with. Edna is a wife and mother of two. She spends most of her
time with her friend Adele who is constantly reminding her of her duties and expectations as a
mother and wife. She comes to meet a man named Robert, with whom... Show more content on

The use of fire throughout the text can be perceived to represent the passion that the character
possesses with her partners and how in certain situations the fire is dimming. The fire is meant to
represent passion, and the idea of it slowly fading away. When Leonce calls the doctor to come
diagnose Edna, it is for acting as a woman would in today s society; the behavior is so foreign her
husband can only account for it by blaming it on mental or physical illness. As the novel wraps up
with Edna walking to the ocean you can slowly begin to infer what is about to happen. Water,
large bodies on water in this particular case, represents uncertainty and danger although; it also
represents freedom and peace. The ocean, and water in general, has the powerful ability give and
provide life, but also take it away at any given moment. To finish up the narrative you see Edna
entering the water naked. Throughout the novel and through historical evidence we ve come to
understand the way the fashion trends of the time period and how women s clothes were
particularly constricting. By removing her clothing, Edna is removing all of her past restraints
and things that controlled her mobility. Entering the water naked can also be perceived as a
rebirth of sorts if looked upon through a religious lens. Edna is going back to where she came from
(body of water is a comparison to mother s womb) and being born
Southern Culture In Everyday Use By Alice Walker
The story Everyday Use is set in the southern part of the US in the early 1970 s, a time when
many african americans were still being mistreated and were adapting to the changing times just
after a civil rights period. Alice Walker presents two of the main characters in the story, Mama
and Dee, as culturally opposite and having different views towards the role of their shared
heritage. The style dialogue between them and the structure of the story highlight these
conflicting values and send a message to the reader that black southern culture and one based on
African roots can t coexist. Rather, they will attempt to cut each other out and end up hurting
their overall culture. Walker s unique structural choice to open the story up with Mama
describing herself and then describe how Dee would like her to be is indicative of the inability of
these two cultures to accept one another. Mama starts by saying In real life I am a large, big
boned woman with rough, man working hands. In the winter I wear flannel nightgowns to bed
and overalls during the day. I can kill and clean a hog as mercilessly as a man. My fat keeps me hot
in zero weather. I can work outside all day, breaking ice to get water for washing. I can eat pork
liver cooked over the open fire minutes after it comes steaming from the hog (315). This excerpt is
a clear example of how black southerners must do hard labor, sometimes not the labor that is
accepted by most of society, in order to get by. She sounds proud

one of his books and said, Yeah, Finals are approaching and I can t do a single question in this book.
The old man grabbed a nearby pen and said, This is easy, I
The Study Of Wine Making
The study of wine making is known as Vinification. Traditional wine making process includes: i)
harvesting fresh grapes; ii) crushing and pressing grapes to get grape must; iii) fermentation; iv)
clarification to get rid of undesired residue; v) bottling to sell immediately or aging to sell later.
Fermentation is the process during which introduces microorganism artificially. Fermentation
usually consists of two steps, alcoholic fermentation (AF), which is assisted by yeastto create alcohol,
and malolactic fermentation (MLF) which requires lactic acid bacteria(1). MLF turns malic acid into
lactic acid and carbon dioxide (2). Fermentation is a well controlled process, including yeast and
bacteria selection, inoculation strategy and surrounding environment, which all play a crucial role in
final wines characteristics, stability and quality, which affects its marketing value (3). Good wine
has not only good taste and aroma, but also attractive color for people to admire. Furthermore, this
process is related to customer s health as fermentation changes the chemical components and
nutrition components of the wine. Traditional fermentation is carried out by yeast s AF first and
bacteria s MLF starts at the end of AF (1). My main paper takes another approach by co inoculating
both yeast and bacteria to let AF and MLF happens together to shorten overall fermentation time and
test the fermentation dynamics and chemical composition of red wine. The commercial red wine for

Ethnicity In Nigeria
Nigeria is part of the 16 countries in West Africa. Nigeria has different groups of ethnicity and has
a population of about 186 million. Nigeria has over 250 ethnic groups. The ethnic groups have
different belief and practices (VANGUARD,2017). The country is well known for its oil natural

the north, the Yoruba in the southwest and the Igbo (or Ibo) in the southeast, who account for
around a fifth of the population each. The languages of these three groups can therefore be used in

code for how Muslims should lead their lives. It is thought to have been drawn up by Muslim
scholars in the early centuries of Islam, with parts of it taken directly from the Koran. As in other
countries, northern Nigeria uses the code as a basis for its criminal law. However, some of the
harsher penalties, such as death by stoning for adultery, have never been

Some of the most common stimulants are methamphetamine, caffeine, nicotine, cocaine, and Ecstasy.
Methamphetamine is a highly addictive stimulant drug. Its physical effects include disturbed sleep
patterns, Nausea, and Bizarre, erratic, sometimes violent behavior. Methamphetamine increases the
amount of dopamine, which results in increased chemicals in the brain. Methamphetamine is a
dopamine agonist. Caffeine is a CNS stimulant. It is the world s most consumed drug. Some physical
effects include high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, and hyperglycemia. Caffeine binds to our brain s
adenosine receptors; preventing the chemical from binding with the receptors and making us tired.
(This is what caffeine does to your brain, 2014) Caffeine is a receptor antagonist. Nicotine is a highly
addictive chemical substance present in tobacco. Some physical effects include heart disease, stroke,
and depression. The nicotine molecule is shaped like a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine.
Acetylcholine and its receptors are involved in many functions, including muscle movement,
breathing, heart rate, learning, and memory. They also cause the release of other neurotransmitters
and hormones that affect your mood, appetite, memory, and more. When nicotine gets into the brain,
it attaches to acetylcholine receptors and mimics the actions of acetylcholine. (How Does Nicotine
Act in the Brain? 2015) Nicotine is an agonist to ACH. Cocaine is a highly addictive drug
synthetically derived from coca. Some physical effects of cocaine include increased heart rate, body
temperature, and increased rate of breathing. Normally, dopamine is then recycled back into the
transmitting neuron by a specialized protein called the dopamine transporter. If cocaine is present, it
attaches to the dopamine transporter and blocks the normal recycling process, resulting in a buildup
of dopamine in the synapse, which contributes to the pleasurable effects of cocaine.

People Who Work On Wall Street Essay
People who work on Wall Street are considering elites of the society, their works relate to finance
and deal with the world economy. Many students desire for working on Wall Street; however, this
dream is hard to accomplish because this job is for people who are considered smart . In
Biographies of Hegemony, the author Karen Ho brings up the idea of smartness, which addresses
to people not only have individual intelligence, but also have the quality of being an expert and
has self confidence, aggressive, and hard working. Basically, in the article, Ho talks about students
graduate from Harvard or Princeton and now they are working on Wall Street. Ho believes
smartness is a form of impressiveness because smartness is not just about intelligence, but also a
way to separate away from normal people. However, in Project Classroom Makeover, the author
Cathy Davidson pays more attention to students who may not be the expertise, but they will use
collective learningto share different opinions. Collective learning brings out the idea of
crowdsourcing. Crowdsourcing is a group of people share ideas and solve problems, which is one
way of collective learning. The theory of smartness shares commons and differences with collective
learning. For common, both smartness and collective learning require students to work together and
have the confidence to conquer the difficulties, which lead students to the future success. For
differences, smartness is associated with students who have an
Aztec, Inca And Aztec Civilizations
Before the legendary empires of the Romans and the Greeks, there were other prospering
civilizations thriving in parts of Central America and parts of Mexico. The Mayan, Incan and Aztec
civilizations were a few of the greatest ancient civilizations in history, but they each had distinct
characteristics that helped them prosper into the great empires that they became. Each had their own
fascinating ways of food production, governing system and culture. The Mayans were established
first out of the three and settled in modern day Mexico. Then came the Aztecs and they also settled
in modern day Mexico and the Incas were the last of the three and they settled in the Andes
Mountains and what is now Peru. All three had very successful and long lasting civilizations until
they were taken out by a natural cause or foreign invaders. Even though the Mayan, Aztecs and
Incan empires had their distinct characteristics of what made them great, only the Incan empire
would be able to succeed in today s world because of their unique governing system and their
advancements in military and infrastructure. All three of these great civilizations would have a
chance to succeed in the modern world but the Incan empire would be the most fit out of these three
pre colonial civilizations. At the apex of their reign, the Incas ruled over the largest civilizationof the
three. Their empire spanned from modern day Ecuador all the way to chile and included about
sixteen million inhabitants. Although they
