Subsection XX (iCONTROL SYSTEM)
iCONTROL SYSTEM
GENERAL
The iControl (intelligent Control) system consists
of the Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) system.
The information center (gauge) is used to select
the mode of operation of the system.
Each control is electronic and provides a com-
mand signal to an electronic module whose
function is to assure proper operation of its sys-
tem within set parameters.
For a comprehensive and complete description
of the information center, refer to INFORMATION
CENTER (GAUGE) subsection.
iTC (INTELLIGENT THROTTLE
CONTROL)
The iTC is an electronic throttle control system
(ETC) that includes a cable-less throttle control
(TAS) located on the RH side of the handlebar,
and an electric throttle actuator (ETA) located on
the throttle body.
The iTC allows functions such as touring/sport
mode, O.T.A.S.TM, as well as a more precise con-
trol of the engine power.
For a comprehensive and complete description
of this system, refer to INTELLIGENT THROTTLE
CONTROL (ITC) subsection.
