Dimensional Control SQP

The Survey Quality Plan (SQP) details the procedures and quality control measures for conducting a Dimensional Control Survey on the Cable Laying Barge (CLB) and Support Vessel. The survey aims to establish a precise vessel reference system, verify navigation sensor positions, and produce necessary documentation while adhering to industry standards. The project is expected to take 2-3 days per vessel, with deliverables including a survey report, CAD drawings, and calibration certificates.

Survey Quality Plan (SQP)

Dimensional Control Survey for CLB and Support Vessel

1. Introduction
This Survey Quality Plan outlines the procedures, quality control measures, and
documentation methods for executing the Dimensional Control (Dimcon) Survey on board
two vessels: the Cable Laying Barge (CLB) and the Support Vessel. The purpose of this
survey is to ensure all navigation and deployment sensors are accurately positioned and
referenced to a defined vessel coordinate system, thereby supporting precise operations
during offshore activities.

2. Scope of Work
The Dimensional Control Survey will cover the following scope:

1. Establish Vessel Reference System for both CLB and support vessel.

2. Determine Offsets for GNSS, Gyro, MRU, OASYS, and chute.

3. Chute Dimensional Checks.

4. GNSS Verification.

5. Gyro Verification.

6. Heading Verification.

7. Pitch and Roll Calibration.

8. Preparation of Report and Drawings for both vessels.

3. Objectives
The primary objectives are:

- Establish a precise vessel reference frame.

- Measure and document accurate positions of navigation sensors.

- Verify calibration of instruments.

- Produce CAD drawings and offset tables.

- Comply with industry and client standards.

4. Survey Team and Responsibilities
Party Chief / Supervisor: Project oversight and QA/QC.

Dimcon Surveyor: Execute measurements and offsets.

CAD/Report Engineer: Documentation and CAD drawing.

QA/QC Reviewer: Independent verification of key data.
