CONJUNCTIONS (LIÊN TỪ)

Liên từ trong tiếng anh dùng để liên kết 2 từ, cụm từ hoặc mệnh đề lại với nhau.
Liên từ được chia làm 3 loại: Liên từ kết hợp
Liên từ tương quan
Liên từ phụ thuộc
1. Liên từ kết hợp (coordinating conjunctions)
Dùng để nối các thành phần câu tương đương nhau về mặt ngữ pháp, như nối danh từ với
danh từ, cụm động từ với cụm động từ, mệnh đề độc lập với mệnh đề độc lập....Ngoài ra, liên
từ kết hợp cũng được dùng để nối các câu với nhau.

2. Liên từ tương quan (Correlative conjunctions)

Dùng để kết nối 2 đơn vị từ với nhau và thường đi theo cặp mà không thể tách rời.
