The Rafale bra is a partial band bra with

Using foldover (FOE) elastic

1 Leave a tail to make an easier start.
Stitch the FOE to the fabric using a zigzag or
3-step zigzag stitch. Go to step 5

use it. Otherwise, tie the ends together and
hide the ends in the dart.

the cup. Topstitch the seam with the same
straight stitch.
Trim excess fabric, making sure you’re not
cutting into the fabric underneath. Use
appliqué scissors if you have them.

1 Sew Upper Cup to Lower Cup using a
straight stitch. Place the Lower Cup on the
Upper Cup to prevent the seams from stret-
ching. Align at the APEX notch.

Topstitch the seam with the same straight
stitch.
Trim excess fabric, making sure you’re not
cutting into the fabric underneath. Use ap-
pliqué scissors if you have them.

Variation 3: ribbon bridge
