INFO AND TIPS
When fastening off, leave a 25 cm / 10” tail, this tail can then be used to sew the pieces together.
Be careful to not pull the Toucan yarn too hard as it will snap, this will leave a short tail and the
piece may then fall apart if the ends are not sewn in correctly.
Pm in the first st of each round, moving marker up each round.
Beginning chains do not count as sts unless otherwise stated.
Loop Stitch (ls) – Insert hook into stitch, wrap yarn around index finger and keep finger to
desired length for loop (approx. 2.5 cm / 1“). Wrap hook clockwise around the yarn (yarn under)
laying front of the index finger and then grab the yarn laying behind the index finger. Pull yarn
though st (2 loops on hoop). Yarn over, pull through remaining loops. Remove finger from loop.

CONSTRUCTION
Firstly, sew the feet to round 8, sew on the first foot and the leave a space of 4 sts and sew the
next foot, then sew the beard to round 18 of the body lining the point of the beard up with the
centre of two feet.
Sew both arms to opposite sides of the beard on round 18 and sew the nose in the centre of the
beard, stuff the nose as you sew around.
Lastly sew the hat on to round 18 of the body.
