Good day everyone my name is Adeyemi Christiana


Osun State, in southwestern Nigeria, was created on August 27,
1991, by the military administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi
Origin of osun Babangida. It was formed by carving out the eastern part of the then
Oyo State. The state's capital is Osogbo. The creation of Osun State
state was driven by a desire to bring governance closer to the people and
improve administrative efficiency. Osun State is named after the
River Osun, which flows through it, and is a sacred site for devotees

Osun State has seen various relief efforts in response to economic
hardship and natural disasters. Governor Ademola Adeleke has
initiated programs like the Imole Osun Cash Grant Scheme and
distributed relief materials to victims of disasters. The state
government, alongside agencies like NEMA, has also provided aid to
those affected by floods and communal clashes.
