PROBLEM
INTRODUCTION
HOOK: Do you know how many people lost their homes because of terrorist wars?
Main idea: We are going to talk about terrorist wars in Iraq. It is a big problem. Many people
died, many houses and cities were destroyed, and people live with fear.
Rhetorical question #1: Why did this problem start in Iraq and why does it continue today?
BACKGROUND
When did it start in the city you chose? It started after 2003, when the war in Iraq began
and terrorist groups started to grow.
Why did it start? Because of war, political problems, and religious conflicts. Also, after the
government fell, the country became weak.
Who/what caused the problem? The U.S. invasion in 2003 made the country unstable. Then
terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS appeared.
Who is currently affected by the problem? Children, families, old people, and people who
live in cities like Mosul and Baghdad.
What will/would be possible consequences? More people can die, more people leave the
country, and children can grow up without education or future.
SOLUTION
Rhetorical question #2: Is it possible to stop terrorism and have peace?
Proposal: Some organizations are helping Iraq. They work with education, security, and
health. This can help stop terrorism and make peace.
Step 1: Give more education to children and young people, so they don’t follow terrorist
ideas.
Step 2: Create more jobs, so people don’t join terrorist groups because of money.
Step 3: Rebuild cities with help from international organizations and protect the people.
CONCLUSIONS
Rhetorical question #3: Do we want to live with fear or with peace?
This problem is important to me because I want peace in my country. Terrorist wars
destroy families and futures. We need education and peace for a better life.
