TO BE READ IN ALL ASSEMBLIES

Through:

Dearly Beloved,

NOTIFICATION OF EXCOMMUNICATION AND DISMISSAL OF DR. BARIAALA

FABIAN BAAGE FROM THE MEMBERSHIP AND MINISTRY OF THE APOSTOLIC
CHURCH MARITIME TERRITORY
Sequel to the Territorial Executive Council Meeting held on 20 th June 2025, at The Apostolic
Church #22 Dim Assembly, I was directed by the Executive Council under the Chairmanship of
Apostle B. B. Gokana JP, to inform you that this letter serves as a formal notification of the
excommunication and dismissal from the membership and ministry of The Apostolic Church
Maritime Territory, Rivers/Bayelsa States, Nigeria of Dr. Bariaala Fabian Baage. This is
effective immediately.

Recall that he was suspended on February 8th 2025 on the ground that he furnished Mrs. Faith
Tobi with the letter that was given to him by NEC which was exhibited in court and secondly,
further affidavit on paragraph 21 highlighted boldly that he called and told her everything that
transpired at the National Executive Council Meeting/Quadrennial Convention on the 10 th of
February 2025; which he failed to repudiate till now.

Also, at the NEC Meeting held from 3rd - 5th June 2025, Dr. Baage was directed by the National
Executive Council to go and plead with The Apostolic Church Maritime Territorial Executive
Council, which he blatantly refused. Instead on 12th June 2025, he mobilized about 20 armed
police officers to come to TAC #1 Uyo Street to arrest Territorial Council members.
[

Upon Dr. Bariaala Fabian Baage’s failure to obey the directives given to him to handover the
affairs and properties of the Church to the Area Supervisor and to stop functioning in the
capacity of a Pastor which was contained in the Suspension Letter dated 8 th February 2025 and
his subsequent failure to obey the second directive of the Territorial Authorities in a letter
dated 13th June 2025, which also directed him to hand over all church properties, documents,
funds etc. and to vacate the parsonage; the Council has found him guilty of:

1. Gross misconduct - he leaked sensitive Council information to Mrs. Faith Tobi which
violates TAC Rules of Belief 6 – That you keep the counsels of the church within the
church. This is also contrary to section 66 (1) (e) of the National Constitution of The

Apostolic Church 2017. It also violates Article 21 of the Ministerial Code of Conduct of
TAC Maritime Territory, 2021, which provides that every minister engaged by the
authority of The Apostolic Church Maritime Territory shall observe all the rules as
enshrined in The Apostolic Church Rules of Conduct and Rules of Belief without
modifications.

2. Necromancy (Spiritism) – he led a group of people and visited the grave of Late
Apostle (Dr) Barinaanu Faara Vigo on 12th May 2025, where he publicly invoked his
spirit to assist him. This is an outright violation of Article 27 of our Ministerial Code of
Conduct, 2021, which provides that a minister of The Apostolic Church shall be
content and shall not do anything that tends to lower the integrity, dignity, standard
and expectations of a Man of God of The Apostolic Church Maritime Territory in the
estimation of the public. This also contravenes section 66 (1) (c) of the National
Constitution of The Apostolic Church 2017.

3. Rebellion to Constituted Authority/Mutiny – Bariaala Fabian Baage refused to obey

the constituted authority of the church to the extent of conducting church services and
ecclesiastical duties while under suspension, inducting himself as Territorial Chairman
on Monday 12th May 2025 and announcing it across the media. This is contrary to
section 66 (1) (d) of the National Constitution of the Apostolic Church and Article 13 of
the Ministerial Code of Conduct of TAC Maritime Territory, which provides that every
minister engaged by TAC Maritime Territory shall remain loyal and subordinate to
the authorities of the church in Maritime Territory and Article 17 which provides that
no minister of TAC Maritime Territory shall embark on any… demonstration or
mutiny of any kind for whatever reason.

Based on the above provisions of the National Constitution, Bye Law and Ministerial Code of
Conduct of The Apostolic Church Maritime Territory which he signed, which is binding on him,
Bariaala Fabian Baage is hereby stripped of his ministerial title, position, rank and
membership with immediate effect. He is required to vacate the parsonage and hand over all
church properties and documents to Pastor Allen Matthew immediately.

May the Lord help him to rediscover Him in Jesus name – Amen!

Yours sincerely,

Pastor Dr. J. O. Nwamadi

Territorial Administrative Secretary
