Disinfection Guidelines Rev. 4.20

Disinfection Guidelines for Designs for Vision Loupes & Lights

Cleaning Processes:

• Clean lenses with a standard glass cleaner and a soft, lint-free cloth, making sure not to scratch the surface.
• It is recommended for disinfection that all exposed plastic sections be wiped with a surface disinfectant/cleaner
or an equivalent plastic-safe cleaner.
• Spray the cleaner onto a cloth, then wipe the sections rather than spraying onto plastic parts.
• Wipe cables with plastic safe cleaners after spraying on a cloth, if necessary.
• Try to avoid alcohol, bleach, phenol or solvent cleaners
• If a cleaner must be used and has alcohol it should be below 20% alcohol content
• WARNING: Products should not be submerged or soaked in cleaners, could cause liquids to enter the system
• WARNING: For our LED products DO NOT get liquids or cleaners in these ports or electrical connectors shown here:

Recommended Cleaners:

- Clorox Verasure Alcohol/Bleach Free, Caviwipes, Lysol IC(if available), Sono Disinfectant Wipes,
Opti-Cide Medical Wipes
- Cleaners should be non-porous/porous plastic safe or all surface safe
- If cleaners leave residue on lenses, use soft lint free cloth to remove
