Full moon coming up – Does your family

have worms? .

Helpful tips plus instructional video at the end

Hi Willem,

This month’s full moon is on Saturday,

April 16, and if you have a child in
childcare or school, you may have
noticed their behaviour changing
around the full moon. This may include
being more angry, restless at night,
grinding their teeth during their sleep,
complaining of sore tummies, itchy
bottoms or suddenly eating you out of
the house! These are just some of the
possible symptoms that worms have
come to visit. So if you suspect there’s
a worm party at your house, have a
read of the tips below, to help you naturally send these little critters on their way
and stop them coming back.

I had my first experience with threadworms when my son went to school for the
first time a few years ago. Luckily, I’ve got a kick-ass (no pun intended!) worming
protocol which I’d love to share with.

Personally, I reckon worms are like candida, strep, staph and all the other bacteria
and micro-organisms that live in and on us all the time. Fun fact – micro-organisms
outnumber our human cells by 10 to 1! Let that sink in for a bit.

Just because we all have candida living in us all the time, doesn't mean we're all
walking around with thrush symptoms and just because staph and strep lives in
and on us, doesn't mean we're all walking around with impetigo and strep throats
all the time. Why is that?

It's only when our bodies are out of balance (due to stress, diet, medications etc)
that we see symptoms of these micro-organisms. I personally believe we all have
parasites/worms/intestinal critters living in us all the time. I'm guessing they
possibly even have a role to play in our digestive health, potentially the same way
that staph/strep/candida has a role to play in our bacterial balance.

I once read an article of a woman who had an auto-immune disorder, who imported
parasites from overseas, which she then ingested...and it kept the symptoms of her
auto-immune condition under control. That really got me thinking...

Some possible symptoms of worms:

Parasites tend to be more active

around the full moon, so you may start
seeing behavioural changes in your
child (or yourself!) the couple of days
leading up to the full moon.
There may be changes in appetite –
either an increased or decreased
appetite and a strong craving for sweets
There may be digestive changes – complaints of sore tummies or changes in
stool.
Your child may be calling out at night in pain and wriggling and writhing
around without being able to tell you really what’s wrong, other than perhaps
saying their bottom is hurting. Be aware the wormies may end up in the
vaginal area as well, causing a lot of sharp pain, so if your daughter is saying
her genital area is hurting, this is also something to keep an eye out for.

Please do not be tempted to give over the counter pharmaceuticals for worms. As
with all pharmaceuticals, this is not a long term solution and may cause
unnecessary digestive upsets. It really is about susceptibility at the end of the day,
so if we can get our digestive system’s strong, then we won’t be susceptible to
these critters taking charge. Raw garlic, sunflower seeds, carrots and fermented
foods are all said to help with worms, so be sure to include these in your diet as
well

IMPORTANT: Treat the whole family with the protocol below. Treat your pets at the
same time, but only using the Homeopathic worming mix, not the supplements.

these products below)
If you currently have symptoms of worms in your
household, follow the steps below at any time during
the month. You do not have to wait until the full
moon. As soon as the symptoms present, start the
protocol immediately:

2 pillules Homeopathic Worming Support 3

times daily for 3-5 days. If your child’s
symptoms get slightly worse, it may be a sign
of the body eliminating the worms, so stop the
remedies until the symptoms improve and then
re-assess. If the symptoms return, then start
with the remedies where you left off.
Personally, I prefer the worming support
remedy, but if you find your family does not
respond well to homeopathic combination
remedies, you may like to try Cina 30c instead.

A probiotic daily for a month – we sell the Herbs of Gold probiotic as it is

shelf stable and comes in infant, children and adult options.
