- TWY T-3, nosing to THR 11.

1.3. OPERATIONAL STANDSTILL PROCEDURE IN THE

MOVEMENT AREA (PPOAM)
1.3.1. GENERAL
Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) are not available for ground movements. The
Movement Area Operational Standstill Procedure when RVR is less than 550m
(PPOAM 550) is available instead in order to maintain safety in the movement
area. This procedure shall be applied when the weather conditions are as follows:
- When RVR is less than 800m and is equal to or more than 550m, taxiing of only
one ACFT, at the a time, in the movement area shall be authorized.
- When RVR is less than 550m, operations in the movement area shall come to a
standstill.
1.3.2. UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE POSITION IN THE MANEUVERING AREA
When in doubt about the position of the ACFT relative in the maneuvering area
- if it is known that the ACFT is not on RWY, immediately stop the ACFT and
report this event (including the last known position) to ATC.
- if it is known that the ACFT is on a RWY, immediately report (including the
last known position) to ATC, evacuating the RWY, as soon as possible if a
proper nearby TWY can be located, unless ATC indicates otherwise, and then
stop the ACFT.
1.3.3. FAILURE OF AN ACFT
Report the situation to ATC and await the arrival of assistance. In the case that
the ACFT is on a RWY, if possible and unless ATC indicates otherwise, the pilot
will evacuate the RWY.
1.3.4. LOSS OF VISUAL CONTACT BETWEEN TRAFFICS
In the case of the loss of visual contact with another ACFT, or a vehicle with
which separation is maintained, ATC will be informed immediately and the ACFT
will stop.
1.3.5. COMMUNICATION FAILURE
ARRIVING ACFT
If the ACFT has just landed, it shall maintain its position when leaving the RWY
and wait for the arrival of an assistance vehicle.
If the ACFT already has taxiing with ATC clearance, it shall continue by the
assigned route to the limit of such authorization, taking extreme caution, here it
will maintain its position and wait for the arrival of an assistance vehicle.
DEPARTING ACFT
The ACFT shall continue on the assigned route and shall stop at the ATC clearance
limit, taking extreme caution, where it shall hold and shall wait for the arrival
of an assistance vehicle.

SEVE BALLESTEROS-SANTANDER 26 JAN 24 10-1P1 .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
1. GENERAL
1.4. TAXI PROCEDURES
The simultaneous use of the RWY and the parallel TWY is incompatible when one
of them is being used by a type E ACFT.

1.5. PARKING INFORMATION

Parking stands 23 and 24 are for the exclusive use of helicopters. Simultaneous
entry and/or exit operations are not permitted in both stands.

1.6. GROUND MOVEMENT

All movements of ACFT and towed ACFT in the maneuvering area are subject to
ATC clearance.
All movements of ACFT and towed ACFT on the apron shall be regulated by the
Apron Safety Regulations.
Avoidance of collisions are the responsibility of the pilot when taxiing on the
apron and of the ground handling companies during towing, parking and stand exit
maneuvers.

1.7. OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR ACFT WITH CODE LETTER D

AND E (A330-200)
1.7.1. GENERAL
To operate this type of ACFT, the air carrier or ground handling agent must
request previous authorization. The request and corresponding response will be
processed via the APT Operations Center.
1.7.2. GROUND MOVEMENT
Arrivals and departures to/from apron only by TWY A.
Possibility of being guided through TWY T, if there is a potential operational
impact in maneuvering area.
Use of turn pads applying an angle higher than 45^ to turning the nosewheel.
Oversteer in the following turns: A-T1, A-T2, T1-Y1, T2-Y2, Y3-T3, Y4-T3,
11/29-Y1, 11/29-Y2, 11/29-Y3 and 11/29-Y4.
RWY and TWY T parallel to RWY, cannot be used at the same time when one of the
ACFT is A330-200.
TWY B must not be occupied while A330-200 is circulating on TWY T.

1.8. OTHER INFORMATION

CAUTION: Birds in vicinity of APT.

SEVE BALLESTEROS-SANTANDER 29 SEP 23 10-1P2 .Eff.5.Oct. .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
2. ARRIVAL
2.1. CONTINUOUS DESCENT OPERATIONS
Depending on traffic situation, and if no need for interrupting the descent is fore-
seen, ACFT will be cleared to proceed to a STAR, or by means of a "direct to"
clearance to an Intermediate Fix (IF) of the STAR, to the Initial Approach Fix
(IAF), to an Intermediate Approach Fix or to the IF, to an appropriate altitude of
the IAF or the IF of the instrument approach procedure, in order to allow a contin-
uous descent operation.

2.2. RWY OPERATIONS

2.2.1. MINIMUM RWY OCCUPANCY TIME
Pilots are reminded that rapid exit from the RWY enables maximum RWY utiliza-
tion and lessens its occupancy time.

2.3. TAXI PROCEDURES

ACFT arriving on RWY 29 shall vacate RWY via TWY Y2 or Y3 or Y4, and shall
enter the apron via gate B, or as instructed.
ACFT arriving on RWY 11 shall vacate RWY via TWY Y2 or Y1, and shall enter the
apron via gate A, or as instructed.

2.4. OTHER INFORMATION

Severe turbulence on approach RWY 29 can be expected within 10NM up to 1800'
when wind direction measured at RWY 29 THR is between 190^ and 220^ with wind
speeds above 20 KT accompanied by frequent gusts above 30 KT.
In these situations an approach to RWY 29 is not recommended.

3. DEPARTURE
3.1. START-UP AND TAXI PROCEDURES
3.1.1. START-UP
ACFT must be ready to start up immediately or within the next 5 minutes when
requesting start-up clearance on the appropriate frequency.
3.1.2. TAXI PROCEDURES
Taxiing out of stands and when turning with minimum start-up power. The engine
power being not higher than idling.
ACFT departing from RWY 29 shall generally taxi via TWYs T1 and Y1, and shall
exit the apron via gate A, or as instructed.
ACFT departing from RWY 11 shall generally taxi via TWYs T3 and Y4 or Y3 , and
shall exit the apron via gate B, or as instructed.

3.2. RWY OPERATIONS

3.2.1. MINIMUM RWY OCCUPANCY TIME
ACFT should be ready to initiate the take-off immediately after alignment with
the corresponding RWY centerline. Pilot unable to comply with this requirement
shall notify ATC before reaching the RWY holding points at Y1, Y2 or T3.

Wind Phenomena
Under certain conditions, wind shear and turbulence
phenomena in RWY 29 approach appear. An S-SW wind
creates severe turbulence that can be noticed in an area
up to 10 NM, from the GND up to 1800' estimated ALT.
These phenomena occur when the wind measured at
RWY 29 THR between 190° and 220°, with intensity equal
to or grater than 20 KT, accompanied by frequent gusts
above 30 KT.
In these situation, the RWY 29 APCH is not
recommended.
