Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary O cers or IBPS PO exam is conducted every year for recruitment to the post of Probationary
O cer/Management T rainee (PO/MT ) in 11 Public Sector Banks in India. IBPS CRP PO/MT exam comprises the preliminary exam, mains exam, and
interview. In 2021-22, a total of 5.74 candidates had reg istered f or IBPS PO, out of which 4 .37 lakh candidates had appeared f or the exam. A

IBPS PO eligibility criteria are certain parameters in terms of age and educational qualification. T he age limit of candidates for IBPS PO is between 20 and

Nationality
A candidate applying for IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:

2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. T ibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement

IBPS PO Qualif ication

T he eligibility criteria for the IBPS CRP exam is a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, BT ech, etc) in any discipline from a University recognized by the
Government of India. Any such candidate who has received equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply
for this exam.
T he candidates must be in possession of a valid marksheet/ degree certificate that certifies that they are a graduate on the day they register for this
exam, and must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registering for the IBPS PO.
Calculation of Graduation Percentag e
T he percentage of marks obtained in graduation is arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects irrespective of
honours/optional/additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100. T his will be applicable for those Universities also where Class/Grade is
decided on the basis of Honours marks only. T he fraction of percentage so arrived is ignored i.e. 59.99 per cent will be treated as less than 60 per cent
and 54 .99 per cent are treated as less than 55 per cent.
Computer Literacy
Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
Lang uag e Prof iciency
Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT is desirable. T he candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.

Issue of admit card: IBPS PO admit card is released online for different stages. Candidates need to download their admit cards by log g ing in with

Appearing in the exam: T he exam is conducted in three stages: prelims, mains and interview. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the
mains exam. Based on the mains exam marks, candidates are called for the interview. T he f inal selection of candidates is done based on the mains
exam and interview.
Declaration of result: IBPS PO result is declared online for different stages: prelims, mains and final allotment. T o check the result, candidates need to

Given below are a few IBPS PO exam day guidelines that candidates need to follow while appearing for the exam:
Wearing masks is compulsory while appearing for IBPS PO exam
Candidates are allowed to carry hand sanitiser (50ml), pen, gloves, and a transparent water bottle
Aarog ya Setu app is compulsory on mobile phones

Shortlisted candidates for the mains exam are called for the interview, which is conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the nodal

Normalisation of IBPS PO Marks

IBPS calculates the IBPS PO marks of the candidates through a method called normalisation that help candidates to get a rounded-up figure. Since the
exam is conducted in multiple shifts and days the difficulty level of the question paper varies from one shift to another. Normalisation of scores is done to
balance and assist in the fair evaluation. T his method is followed both for prelims and Mains exams. Some of the benefits of normalisation are given
below: T he first assumption made for normalisation of marks is that the candidates across all the shifts of the exam have similar abilities T he number of
candidates appearing in the exam conducted by IBPS in large shifts is randomly done.

IBPS PO Mains Result

IBPS PO mains result is declared to select eligible candidates for the interview rounds. T he marks of the mains exam are taken into consideration for

Cut Off
IBPS PO Cuto 2024 : T he Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will release IBPS PO cut o 2024 in three stag es-prelims exam, mains
exam and f inal selection. T he cut o of IBPS PO is applied to total marks and section-wise marks. IBPS PO cut o is released state-wise and category-
wise. IBPS PO cut o is decided based on the number of vacancies, di culty level of the paper, total number of test takers, etc. Based on the IBPS PO cut
off, candidates are selected for the post of Probationary Officers. Read below for more details on IBPS PO cut off.

IBPS PO cut o is released stage-wise on the o cial website-ibps.in along with the IBPS PO scorecard. IBPS PO cuto is the minimum qualifying marks
that candidates need to secure inorder to be eligible for di erent rounds of the selection process. Candidates must be conversant with the IBPS PO cut
o to be able to achieve a safe target score and develop an e ective strategy for the exam. Only the candidates securing the minimum IBPS PO cuto
marks are eligible to participate in the next round of selection. Candidates preparing for the IBPS PO exam should go through IBPS PO cut o as it will
help them to identify the number of minimum attempts from the individual sections as well as the overall IBPS PO exam.

Stag es of IBPS PO Cut off

T he cut off of IBPS PO is announced in the following stages:
IBPS PO Prelims Cut of f
T he preliminary exam of IBPS PO comprises three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. T he total marks f or the
test are 100. Candidates need to qualify in each of the three tests by securing the minimum cut off marks.
IBPS PO Mains Cut of f
The mains exam of IBPS PO comprised five sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, Eng lish Lang uag e, Data Analysis &
Interpretation and Eng lish Lang uag e (Letter Writing & Essay). The total marks of the test are 225.
IBPS PO Interview Cut of f
IBPS PO interview cut off is released along with the provisional allotment result. The Interview is held for 100 marks. T he minimum qualif ying marks in the interview is
4 0 per cent f or General categ ory while 35 per cent f or SC/ST /OBC/PWBD.
IBPS PO Final Allotment
IBPS PO final/provisional allotment cut off is released after the completion of the interview process. T he category-wise and bank-wise cut off marks are
made available in PDF form. T he institute also releases the cut off for the reserve list. On the basis of the provisional allotment cut off, candidates are
selected for appointment in any of the participating banks. T he final/provisional allotment cut off is calculated based on the combined marks of mains
exam and interview out of 100. T he weightage given to the mains exam and interview for the provisional allotment is 80:20. T he provisional allotment is
done on the merit-cum-preference basis.
