Darimo IX4AL stem
After the release of our aluminium stem some of the clients asked for an aluminium
stem in which they could assemble any road handlebar, and here is the solution.
We have developed the new IX4AL stem with a removable frontal faceplate, then
any handlebar shape can be used on it. We put all our effort to minimize the
aesthetic problems of the upper bolts on this kind of stem.
Then the upper bolts and clamping zone has been reduced as much as possible with
a virtual “one piece” stem with no gap and hidden upper bolts.
The use of this minimalistic clamping system allows us to produce an aluminium
stem with removable frontal plate in just 75 grams for 80mm length stem. Just only
3 grams over our IX2AL stem!!
Of course, the stem is totally CNC machined in-house form a solid 7075 aluminium
block. This production way allow us to remove as much material as possible where
it’s not needed and then reduce the final weight. Of course, maintaining an stunning
aesthetics that only can be achieved with this production way.

Our design is optimized for carbon fibre handlebars. The clamping zone is not
divided in two small plates, both bolts are connected, then the surface pressure over
the handlebar is reduced.
It’s body shape and a huge contact surface with the handlebar (24 square
centimetres) makes it stiffer than heavier stems.

Internal Cable Routing Version 81 g in 80mm length stem:
Even we have developed an Internal Cable Routing ready version with a hole near to the steerer
tube.
This kind of port is ready for the most common integration systems in which the cables go inside
the frame at the top of the steerer tube and in front of it.
For other kind of cable integration as not round steerer tube, “D” shape steerers, our stendars
stem is ready as it has a hole at the internal part of the clamping zone and we will provide the
corresponding aluminium insert to complete the not round shape of your steerer tube.
We have developed adaptor for many bike brands then you can obtain a perfect look with all
cables inside and totally hidden. Please ask us for the specific adaptor for your frame.

installed between body and frontal plate.
