GROUP 7 (12 – JEREMIAH)
Lack of Education
Lack of education is one of the most serious problems or issues that faced by many
countries, especially here in the Philippines. It refers to the condition where individuals,
especially the youth and children, are unable to access academic or complete proper schooling
due to some reasons such as poverty, poor facilities, lack of teachers, conflict, natural disasters
or government neglect. Education is supposed to be a right for every person, but for millions of
people, it remains out of reach. This issue is not only about being out of school, it also includes
those students who are in school but are not leaning basic skills due to poor quality of
education.
Here in the Philippines, even though there’s a public school are available, many students
are still struggle because of limited school resources, overcrowded classrooms and a lack of
learning materials. Some families can’t afford transportation, uniforms, or even a food, which
makes it harder for them and especially for students to focus or even to attend school regularly.
Some of students also drop out early to work and to support their families. Because of these
problems, many young people do not finish their studies, which is can limits their opportunities
in life and makes it harder for them to get a stable job, to earn a decent income, or contribute to
our country’s growth.
We choose this topic because it’s a very serious problem that affects the lives of many
people, especilly here in the Philippines. Education is a really basic human right and one of the
most powerful tools to improve a person’s future. It can give people knowledge and skills when
they need to find a good jobs, to take care of their families, and make a better decisions in their
life. However, not everyone has the same access when it comes to quality of education. Some
students or a young people can’t go to school or they are forced to stop studying early because
of poverty, distance, lack of support, or other difficult situations.
By choosing this topic, we want to understand how deeper reasons why so many students
are not able to study well or finish their school. It is important to study this kind of issue
because the lack of education does not only affect one person it can be affects families,
communities, and even our country. Many people didn’t get a good education, because it’s
harder for our country to grow, develop, and solve our big problems in our society like
unemployment, crime, and poverty. Education is our foundation of progress. That’s why we
need to pay attention to this kind of issue and look for ways to solve it.
Studying this issue can help us understand the real struggle of those students who don't
have access to quality of education and it's not just about academic purposes, but it's for our real
life. And it can raise awareness, to gives voice for those who unheard, and opens our eyes to
realize the broken parts of the education system. Sometimes, some people can easily judge
those students who drop out or who perform poorly, without realizing their reasons behind it.
And it can inspire to a change, suggest solutions, and to push for better support for students. It
also helps us, as students and to young people, to grow in empathy, responsibility, and to
awareness. Most important, is the hope that one day, education can be truly equal and accessible
for everyone.
