The University is preparing students from rural mainland of Uttar Pradesh, and all parts of India in general, often coming from marginalized sections
for leadership in a complex world.
It offers the kind of education needed through various inclusive, society-oriented programs for transforming our country in the disciplines of –
Humanities, Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Business, Law, Education and Environmental Sciences – through a breadth of highly
regarded degree programs that provide students the freedom to explore their intellectual and personal growth. The faculty members at our University accept
their responsibilities conscientiously, share leadership in a democratic spirit, and maintain subject to the highest standards of public trust. University offers 99
courses that include Certificate/Diploma/integrated PG Programmes/UG/PG and Ph.D.at its main campus and the Satellite Centre at Amethi.
Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow secured NAAC Accreditation with Grade ‘A++’ (2023) and has been ranked consistently at a
higher pedestal by various ranking frameworks. In 2023, the University has been ranked at 42nd position in top 100 Universities in India by NIRF, in
comparison to 55th rank in 2022. The university campus is an ISO certified clean and green campus and rating of 3.5 by the Institute innovation council.
The University strives to fulfill the objectives of its inception. There is a special provision of 50 percent reservation in all courses for the students of
Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes. Now with the government directives, the University also offers 10 percent seats reserved for the Economically Weaker
Section. The University also provides fee exemption for the students of the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes in regular courses. The University also provides
financial assistance to the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe students for their dissertation and thesis preparation. The University also has a satellite center
at Amethi, started in the year of 2016. The University has a fully air conditioned and well-furnished Central Library namely Gautam Buddha Library having
more than 50 thousand books and 10 thousand online journals along with Departmental Libraries in the respective departments to cater the demand of the
students pursuing studies in the University. The University has Health Centre with availability of doctors round the clock and provides residential facilities for
the students and faculties too. For the overall development of the students, University has a Centre for the Personality Development with Residential
Coaching Programme (RCP), Remedial Coaching Academy (RCA), Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE), National Service Scheme (NSS) and National
Cadet Corps (NCC).

• The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow will be taking admission to its under-graduate courses through the Common
University Entrance Test CUET (UG)– 2025, for the academic year 2025-26.
• CUET (UG)– 2025 is a bouquet of tests in various Languages, Domain-specific Subjects, and General Test. Candidates can select anyone or more of the tests
offered under CUET (UG) - 2025, as per the requirements of the BBAU, Lucknow.
• The CUET(UG)– 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages, i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi,
Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
• The CUET(UG)– 2025 will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode for the Academic Session 2025-26.

Important Instructions
All eligible applicants desire to seek admission to courses of the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow for the academic session
2025-26 must apply to the CUET (UG) - 2025 and read this information bulletin and admission prospectus carefully.
Reservation Policy
The reservation policy to be followed for admission in Academic Session 2025-26 shall be as per the provisions of the academic ordinance
Chapter- VII (clause 9) which states “for the purposes of admission to all courses of study in the university, 50% of the seats shall be reserved for
Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribes (SC/ST) students”. Further, 10% seats shall be reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) for admissions
in the University as per the letter of MHRD, F.No.19-4/2019-CU.CDN dated 23.01.2019.

General Information
1. The merit list for the unreserved category seats will comprise all the candidates in the order of merit including candidates under reserved category if
they come in the unreserved merit. A candidate under reserved category, who figures in the unreserved merit list, is entitled to be considered for
admission under the unreserved category. Admission to open category seats will be strictly in the order of merit without excluding candidates
belonging to reserved category.
2. Paid Seats are offered in some of the UG programmes. Admission to paid seats will be strictly as per University rules.
3. As per the recommendations of NEP -2020, the curriculum is implemented in all the programs except a few where regulatory bodies like
NCTE, PCI, and Bar Council of India, ICAR etc., still need to provide guidelines. (Deptt of Horticulture , Deptt of Law, Deptt of Pharmaceutical
Sciences)
Rules and Regulations
1. Each student is required to sign a declaration regarding discipline and conduct as per provisions of the Act & Statutes of the University.
2. The admission is liable to be canceled if any information/any document provided by the candidate is found to be fake. Strict disciplinary action shall be
taken against such candidates as per University rules.
3. The University reserves the right to change or modify the rules and regulations of the admission. No Change of seats will be allowed.
4. On being selected for counseling, the selected candidates shall have to submit the self-attested copies/original of following documents on or before the last
Date prescribed for the purpose:
a. Mark Sheet/Grade Sheet of the qualifying degree course (self-attested).
b. Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last attended (in original).
c. Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended.
d. SC/ST/PwD/ EWS issued by the Competent Authority (self-attested). Candidates shall bring all the original
certificates/documents for verification. Cases with regard to Kashmiri Migrant/NRI will be considered as per notification
issued by GOI.
5. The percentage of marks in the qualifying examination shall be read without rounding off the percentage.
6. Merely appearing in the Entrance Test does not entitle a candidate to claim admission for any course.
7. Candidates against whom any disciplinary action has been taken at any stage in his/her earlier academic career shall not be admitted to any course in this
University.
8. Enrollment of a student in any course of the University shall stand cancelled if candidate is held guilty of any cognizable offence. Enrollment
may also be cancelled if candidate conduct is found guilty by the University.
9. The University reserves the right to make any changes/modifications in the provisions made in this prospectus.
10. No candidates shall be entitled to claim admission as a matter of right.
11. The University reserves the right to close any of the following courses/ programmes, if number of applicants are less than 60% of the total
sanctioned seats or total admissions in the course is less than 60%.

12. The Departments of the University may ask the candidates concerned, wherever necessary, to get recognition/equivalence of their degrees/
diplomas/ certificates authenticated from the Association of Indian Universities/University Grants Commission/AICTE/Council of Boards of
School Education in India(COBSE)/PCI/BCI on his/her own for the purpose of admission in the Department. Further, the cases of equivalence
of degrees/certificates/diploma may then be put up before the University Authorities for further consideration and confirmation. However, the
Certificates/Diplomas/Degrees already recognized/ equated by the University may not be referred for further verification.
13. University will not entertain any sort of claim regarding change in score.
14. One Supernumerary seat shall be available for the daughter/son of defense martyrs personnel in the Under Graduate (U.G.) courses except
courses which are governed by the BCI, PCI, NCTE & AICTE etc.
15. University provides 5% supernumerary sports quota based upon qualification of Physical Test & grading of certificates of National
& above participation after CUET (UG) examination.
16. The University reserves the right to revise, amend, update or delete any part of this Prospectus without giving any prior notice.
17. Applicants are responsible for regularly checking the portal for any updates and grievances resulting from lack of reading/consulting this prospectus
will not be entertained.
University Facilities
Computer Centre-
Presently University has a Computer Centre equipped with computers and internet facilities under the INFONET program of UGC
scheme,which is open for all. The University is also connected with National Knowledge Network (NKN).
Health Centre-
The University provides health services through medical consultants to all the students, administrative staff, faculty members and subordinate
staff of the University including boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel for the residential students of the University. University has also established Yoga
and Wellness centre with the help of state government to provide alternative health care with dedicated instructors/consultants to all the staff
and students.

LAN/Wi-Fi-
Most buildings in the University such as Administrative Block, Departments, Hostels, and some residential quarters in the campus are fully
equipped with LAN facility. The state of the art Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus provides high-speed internet.
Library-
The Gautam Buddha Central library is housed in a separate huge library building and fulfills its objective to supplement educational and
information needs of the faculty and students through its books and periodical sections having adequate reading rooms, journals and video
library. It is equipped to facilitate visually handicapped students as well. The library services are also extended to non-teaching staff and visitors.
It has adequate collection to satisfy the information need of the user.
Guest House-
The guest house of the University is located within the University campus and is providing round the clock boarding and lodging services to
guests. Guest house rooms are allotted to University guests free of cost and to other state or central govt. organizations, universities, public sector
undertakings on request, subject to availability, on payment. However, first priority is given to the University activities.
Mess /Canteen-
The mess facility is available in the University in all the hostels. A canteen is also running in the campus during working days which is open
for all.
University Placement Cell (UPC)-
Since its inception, the cell is helping the students to be placed in various organizations across India and abroad. The UPC is dedicated to
support the students in their pursuit to get jobs in reputed organizations in India and abroad. Placement cell also regularly organizes specialized
lectures, workshops and job fairs to provide students a platform to showcase their talents.
SC/ST Cell-
The staff of the SC/ST cell is actively engaged in coordinating and solving the problems in the matter of admissions in the University, utilization
and timely disbursement of scholarships, accommodation in hostels, conduct of remedial coaching, UGC-NET coaching, competitive examination
coaching and other measures with a view to see that the education system succeeds in bringing the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes to a
level quantitatively as well as qualitatively at par with the rest of the society. The cell is also instrumental in monitoring the implementation of
rule of reservation for SC/ST in admission and appointments on teaching as well as non-teaching posts. Further a Gold Medal also is awarded to
topper among the SC/ST students.
Similarly, to develop a sense of social and civic responsibility among the students, BBAU NSS wing was started with following objectives:

3. To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving.
Hostel-
Limited Hostel facilities are available for girls and boys. Allotment of the hostel will be done according to University Policy. The University reserves
the right to modify/change hostel manual/policies at any time.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Students Activity Center at the University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
on January 22, 2016 and the President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Birsa Munda Student Activity Center in the University campus
on 13th February 2023. Birsa Munda Student Activity Center devoted for following indoor Sports and Games activities:

manner defective, the said candidate will not be admitted and if already admitted, admission will be cancelled without any prior notice in this
regard. If the same is found after the completion of course, his/her degree will be cancelled and appropriate legal action will be taken against him/
her.
