2. Admission
2.1 It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all details provided in the application form, as well as supporting documents, are accurate and
authentic.
2.2 At the point of application, a preliminary assessment is conducted by STU to ascertain the student’s eligibility to enroll in the chosen degree,
before allowing the student to pay tuition fees. While STU endeavors to conduct an accurate and thorough assessment, the outcome of this
preliminary assessment should not be construed as legally binding.
2.3 Prior to formally enrolling the student, IU will perform a secondary and nal admission review independently. This process may result in a
different outcome to the preliminary assessment conducted by STU and/or the solicitation of additional information and/or supporting document(s).
2.4 If an application is ultimately deemed to be ineligible for admission by IU, all tuition fees already paid will be fully refunded by STU. However, this
does not apply to an enrolment prescribed by IU to complete additional bridging and/or admission courses to gain formal admission, which will be
viewed as eligible for admission.
2.5 Enrolment and admission to studies shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Admission Examination Regulations (AZE), and other
applicable regulations of the IU, that are in force at the time.
2.6 All decisions regarding admission eligibility made by IU are nal.
3. Course Information and Fees
3.1 It is the responsibility of the student to ensure the listed study details are accurate and as intended.
3.2 STU will enroll the student with IU according to the study details listed in this student contract. If admitted by IU, the student will be allowed to re-
con rm the programme enrolled for through the signing of a separate study agreement directly with IU (herein referred to as ‘IU Study Contract’).
3.3 If there is a change in programme to be enrolled for, the student will be required to resubmit a new application to STU for another review of
eligibility. In such a scenario, STU and IU will not be able to guarantee that the student’s desired start date will materialize.
3.4 Academic policies of each degree programme will be managed independently by IU. As such, further details of these policies will be contained
within the IU Study Contract, including but not limited to: Conduct of Study, Duration of Studies, Termination of Studies, Examinations, etc.

the of cial diploma. Additional administrative fees will, however, be incurred for deviation(s) to the standard study plan, including but not limited to:
Change of Programme, Extension of Time, etc.
3.6 STU offers region-speci c and/or promotional scholarship discounts at its own discretion, which may be amended or withdrawn at any point. This
discount is exclusive to students who enroll and complete their IU degrees via STU and is not transferable.
3.7 If a student decides to terminate the study agreement with STU, the student will be allowed to continue the programme of study with IU directly.
In such a scenario, scholarship discounts received from STU will not be transferable, and the student will be required to pay the original tuition fees as
stipulated in the IU Study Contract.
4. Payment Policy
4.1 During the period of this student contract, all tuition fees will be paid by the student to STU.
4.2 No payment will be required to be made by the student to IU directly, except in scenarios where additional administrative fees are incurred for
deviation(s) to the standard study plan.
4.3 The student has the option to opt for a payment plan that may be offered by STU at its own discretion. Details of the selected payment plan (if
any) is included under ‘Fee Details’ in this student contract.

allowed to take the nal examination, regardless of the selected payment plan and schedule (if any).
4.5 Tuition fees are payable in advance, either in full or according to the selected payment plan frequency. A minimum down-payment may be
required in order to commence studies, which is included under ‘Fee Details’ in this student contract.
4.6 Payments will be made online via STU’s payment gateway partner (Flywire), including the provision of local bank transfer(s) if available. Any
deviation from the above payment method must be agreed beforehand in writing by STU.
4.7 Tuition fees are payable exclusively in the Singapore (SGD) currency, regardless of the student’s place of residence. The provision of localized
payment methods may allow students to initiate payment using their desired currency but will be subjected to currency exchange rate
uctuation(s).
4.8 All and any charges due to tax incurred, bank fee, international transaction fee, and any other administrative fees shall be exclusively borne by the
student.
5. Late Payment Policy
5.1 If the tuition fees cannot be paid fully and on time by the student in accordance with the agreed payment plan, STU is entitled to inform IU of
such occurrences and instruct IU to perform enforcement action(s).
5.3 STU considers payment made 7 days after the scheduled due date as ‘Late’ and reserves the right to apply a standard late fee of 2% to the
overdue amount. While STU considers justi ed and/or extraordinary circumstances, the application of late fees in warranted scenarios will be decided
at its own discretion.
5.4 STU considers payment that is overdue for more than 30 days after the scheduled due date as ‘Delinquent’ and reserves the right to instruct IU to
restrict the student’s access to all study programmes and learning systems.
5.5 Regardless of any enforcement actions taken or not taken, if the student is in default of any tuition fee payment, STU is entitled to terminate this
student contract with the student.
6. Withdrawal, Termination and Refund Policy
6.1 The student has the right to voluntarily withdraw from the programme within one (1) month of the start date or the date access to the learning
platform is provided to the student, whichever is later (herein referred to as ‘Trial Period’).
6.2 If the student decides to voluntarily withdraw during the Trial Period, the student will be eligible for a full refund of associated tuition fees paid
and this student contract will be terminated.
6.3 The Trial Period constitutes part of the regular programme study duration and will be considered as month one (1) of the student’s enrolment if
the right to voluntarily withdraw is not exercised.
6.4 After the Trial Period has expired (herein referred to as the ‘Regular Period’), the student may voluntarily withdraw from the programme with one
(1) month’ notice to the full month calculated based on the date of commencement of study.
6.5 During the Regular Period, no refund will be provided for tuition fees already paid, even if the paid amount accounts for a future study period
beyond the one (1) month’ notice period.
6.6 To exercise the right to voluntarily withdraw at any point in time, the student must submit a request in writing to STU via the ‘Support’ tab within
the student portal, or via email to admissions@stuacademy.org
6.7 Termination refers to an involuntary withdrawal of the student’s enrolment from the programme, including but not limited to these scenarios:
Failure to meet admission conditions, Tuition fee default, Breach of IU examination rules, Failure of essential examinations, Criminal actions at the

6.8 No notice period will be required for an involuntary termination deemed to be justi ed by STU and/or IU. No refund will be provided for tuition
fees already paid, even if the paid amount accounts for a future study period.
6.9 STU endeavors to process all refunds, whether justi ed in accordance with the terms of this student contract and/or agreed in writing on
goodwill, within a reasonable timeframe as would be expected of a typical business process, and at the latest within fourteen (14) days from the day
notice was given.
6.10 Refund processing will use the same means of payment as per the original transaction unless justi ed to be no longer feasible by STU, in which
case an alternative mean of refund will be expressly agreed with the student.
6.11 Tuition fees are payable exclusively in the Singapore (SGD) currency and will be refunded in the same currency. If the original payment was made
via a localized payment method, the eventual refund amount will be subjected to currency exchange rates at the point in time. STU will not be
responsible for any disparity in paid/received amounts.
7. Non-Degree Provisions
7.1 In addition to the IU degree programme(s) enrolled for, STU may provide the student with supplementary services and/or programmes from time
to time. Such provision(s) may be offered with or without additional fees.
7.2 The continued provision of these services and/or programmes, whether partially or in its entirety, or in the same fee format, will be at STU’s sole
discretion; and does not constitute ground(s) for cause of withdrawal and/or refund of tuition fees paid associated with the IU degree programme
enrolled.
7.3 If additional fee(s) are paid by the student for the consumption of these provisions, such payment(s) are strictly non-refundable; and bears no
relation to the Trial Period and refund eligibility offered with the student’s IU degree enrolment.
7.4 Utilization of these supplementary services and/or programmes is at the discretion of the student. However, no refund on IU degree programme
tuition fees will be provided in the case of non-utilization, even if such supplementary services and/or programmes are provided without additional

personal data as reasonably required for the effective delivery of such provisions.
