Main Theme:

These verses are from Surah Al – Anam. This is a Makki surah


The main theme is God in Himself. God emphasizes his Oneness. God is free from
all physical relations specially spouse and children.

God is stressing that He knows everything, and He is your Lord and no one else.
God emphasizes that He is the creator of everything and the only One deserving of
worship. He has all the power to decide the affairs of everyone. He reminds
humans that although no one can see or comprehend Him, He is aware of
everything that happens. God has complete knowledge and power over this world.
Importance
The passage is important for Muslims to understand the Oneness of God, Tawhid,
in terms of God’s nature and power. Muslims must realize that God is everywhere.
The Quran reminds Muslims that “He is with you wherever you are” 57:04 Al-
Hadid
The passage negates the idea of God having any children or spouse and eliminates
the idea of God having any partners or associating anyone with God. Muslims
develop a clear concept of tawhid and know that shirk is unpardonable in the eyes
of God.
Main Theme
This passage is from Surah Fussilat, a makki surah. The main theme is Allah in
Himself. Through this passage God tells humans that He is the creator of
everything. He mentions that the sun and moon follow a cycle due to His power. It
gives a strong message of tawhid that no one should be worshipped except Allah
and especially not the sun and moon even though humans may be in awe of them.
God describes himself as the creator and controller of the Universe and humans
should worship Him.
Importance
The passage is very important for muslims. It emphasizes the importance of tawhid
and to worship God alone. Humans should not worship God’s creation like the sun
and moon. They are signs of God’s power. Humans should only worship the
creator . They must consider themselves as humble servants of God.
Main Theme
This passage is also called Ayat ul Kursi, a part of Surah Baqarah. It is a madni
surah.
The main theme is God in Himself. It begins with a declaration of the Oneness of
Allah and then elaborates that God is beyond human comprehension and He is free
from all limitations and weaknesses like sleep. He is unlike any other being. He
knows everything and can do everything and has absolute authority.
His attributes are unique and different from anything we know. No one shares his
qualities. His powers never weaken.

Importance
This verse has been declared by the Prophet as one of the treasures of Paradise. It
makes muslims realize they must not associate any partner with Allah and negate
shirk.
It is a source of spiritual enlightenment. Muslims understand God’s power and
recite it to seek Allah’s protection in their daily lives against all evils.
The attribute of “Qayyum” (self-subsisting) means that God is the constant support
of all around us.
Kursi (Throne) is a symbol of authority. Muslims understand that God is the
ultimate ruler that exists.

These verses are from surah Shura, a Makki sura. The main theme is God in

The passage talks about God’s ultimate authority that exists over the universe. His
majesty is so much that heavens tremble and are ready to burst by His glory.
Everything in the Universe praises God. Angels always glorify God’s attributes of
forgiveness and mercy for those who repent and ask for forgiveness. Only Allah
should be called upon for forgiveness.

Importance
The importance of this passage is that it focuses on aspects of Tawhid with respect
to God’s power to punish or forgive.
Muslims must fulfill rights of Allah and other human beings. They must be humble
like the Angels who fear God and seek his mercy.
Muslims should trust God with their problems and seek forgiveness and mercy
from God. They should also forgive other humans beings as God likes forgiveness.
Main Theme
These verses are from Surah Ikhlas which is a Makki surah. The main theme is
God in Himself. These verses address the concept of Tauhid for purity of faith.
It tells us that Allah is sublime, far beyond our limited comprehension. He is the
ultimate reality free from all limitations of time and space.
He does not have any physical relations with any of His creation. God is
Independent of all but all are dependent on Him.
He needs nothing for his sustenance. He is Unique
Importance:
The passage is important for muslims because it gives a clear understanding of
God’s personality. This helps us to have pure faith in God. The verses give
inspiration that God is perfect and is all humans ever need. The verses warn
muslims not to compare Him with anyone. They are a source of spiritual strength
for muslims.
It is reported that the Prophet said that this surah is equivalent to a third of the
Quran.
