Method statement
Method statement constructive solutions
Concure DPM
It is suggested that, for temperatures above 35³C, the following guidelines are adopted as good
working practice:
(i) Store unmixed materials in a cool (preferably temperature controlled) environment, avoiding
exposure to direct sunlight.
(ii) Keep equipment cool, arranging shade protection if necessary. It is especially important to
keep cool those surfaces of the equipment which will come into direct contact with the material
itself.
(iii) Try to avoid application during the hottest times of the day, arrange temporary shading as
necessary.
(iv) Make sufficient material, plant and labour available to ensure that application is a continuous
process.
Equipment
Fosroc operates a policy to encourage the use, where possible, of approved or licensed applicators.
This ensures that repairs are completed satisfactorily so that the long term performance of the
materials is assured. For contractors who wish to apply the materials themselves Fosroc is also able
to offer technical assistance and training, either on-site or at its Training Centre in Dubai.

constructive solutions
1.0 Preparation
1.1 The concrete surface should be fresh and free of surface water. Please ensure that there is
no formations of bleed water prior to commencing application.
2.0 Application
2.2 Stir the material well before commencing application. By stirring, there should be an even
dispersal of the pigment.
2.3 Two coats should be applied, with the first coat allowed to dry prior to commencing
application of the second coat. Apply the second coat at right angle to the first coat
application.
2.4 Care should be taken that the surface is not trafficked until the membrane dries completely
and the concrete attains it’s trafficable strength.
3.0 Overcoating
3.1 Where the substrate is to receive a plaster or render, the second coat of Concure DPM
membraned must be gritted with clean and dry sand.
3.3 Allow 48 hours prior to commencing plastering, rendering or laying of flooring screed.
4.0 Cleaning
4.1 Cleaning with water will remove the Concure DPM from the tools and equipment.
4.2 Once Concure DPM has hardened, clean the tool’s and equipment’s with Fosroc Solvent
102.
This method statement is offered by Fosroc as a ‘standard proposal’ for the application of Concure
DPM. It remains the responsibility of the Engineer to determine the correct method for any given
application.
Where alternative methods are to be used, these must be submitted to Fosroc for approval, in
writing, prior to commencement of any work. Fosroc will not accept responsibility or liability for
variations to the above method statement under any other condition.
