PART – A                      Answer ALL the Questions                       (3 x 2 = 6 Marks)
   1. State Thevenin’s Theorem and draw the Thevenin’s equivalent circuit.
   2. Define average value in an AC waveform and give its expression.
   3. List and define the various types of power converters.
PART – B                      Answer ALL the Questions                       (3 X 8 = 24 Marks)
   4. Calculate the maximum power transferred through the load resistance RL.
   5. A coil of inductance o.1 H and negligible resistance is connected in series with 25 Ω
      resistor. The circuit is energized from a 230 V, 50 Hz source. Calculate: (a) the current
      in the circuit, (b) the potential difference across the coil, (c) the potential difference
      across the resistor, (d) the power factor of the circuit, (e) the real power absorbed by the
      circuit.
   6. Discuss the operation of switched mode power supply with neat diagram.
PART – C                      Answer Any One Question                        (1 x 10 = 10 Marks)
   7. Calculate the current i0 using Nodal analysis.
